Nice place for drinks and food. There are many choices to pick from. I prefer the Cuban restaurant near the public bathrooms because they make some great Mojitos and the lechon is awesome. Soon they will be making a floating restaurant, there's already a ferry that has a restaurant and bar in it parked next to the dock. You can also take the ferry for a tour of the Managua lake. They also have playground's for kids and lots of space to walk around.

We arrived at 5:00, paid the small entry fee and started to walk Managua's night life. There are many many restaurants, lots of bars, lots and lots of noisy music spots blaring at you. Karaoke bars, sports bars, Noisy bars, bars, bars and bars. Security systems on cars kept going off because of the amount of noise in the area. We ate at the only place that had Spanish and English on the menu. The service was great and the beef for the first time while in Nicaragua was tender and tasty.Wanted to take the cruise on the lake, but we were the only people interested, so they stayed docked - makes total sense. The Broadwalk along the lake is beautiful to walk along and the lake did not smell. We were there 2 1/2 hours before our ride arrived. For us that was too long because we are not into the bar scene, others were having a great time. Area VERY clean and modern.

This place was recoverer recently to tourism (internal and external). Is perfect to walk and have day and nightlife. If you come with your family you will find everything here: From souvenirs to 19 international and typical restaurants: fish, meat, pizza, chicken, etc. Also are places for kids and... you can take a 45 min boat tour in the Xolotlan Lake for $3 to $5.Near is "Managua miniature": A replica of 70`s Nicaragua City previous to the devastating earthquake.

Great place to go with the kids and family. It felt safe, there was a small fee to park the car. The place was clean and filled with families even though we got there almost at dusk. They have many, many children age structures to play, they have a decommissioned 727 airplane that you can go in and much to my liking an scale replica of the old downtown Managua Avenida Roosevelt before the 1972 earthquake that destroyed downtown Managua.

Managua is my home city that I visit from time to time. This time went with a relative and friend close to Christmas season. If no one has ever been to Nicaragua around Christmas they are in for a surprise. It gets really LOUD. Celebration starts with Purisimas (catholic tradition singing to the virgin Mary statues) on December 8 with round the clock fireworks. As we rode to the small port, we were surrounded by giant shadow boxes with Virgin Mary and baby Jesus in each one. We passed one after another on both sides. Also, giant bright yellow metal trees that was commissioned by the first lady of Nicaragua and it is the butt of jokes of all Nicaraguans. She has plagued the city with the horrible design of those trees year round. As we head a bit further is the Ruben Dario theater. Finally we found paid parking at the port and found this quaint "cabana" to sit. There were several of them. Waiters come and ask you what you want to drink and ofcourse had to try the local beer - Tonya. After about an hour there we strolled close to the water and watched the tourist boat slowly strolling to the Isla del Amor (Island of love). We then decided to go to the indoor/outdoor karaoke/dancing restaurant a few feet away from where we were. The service is great, the people are friendly and everyone was there to have a good time. From where we were we could see families and couples strolling the areas close by. There is also a presence of police men which makes the area very secure. Overall, I felt safe and I had a great time.

This is where you will find many families out on an outing. It's fun and interesting to walk around and soak in some local atmosphere. This is not someplace we would eat, but have a drink or two. They are really trying to revamp the downtown area, bring in tourists, and the locals and I believe this is all part of it. On Fridays and Saturdays it is really hopping with Nicas

It's hard to imagine that an entrance fee of TWENTY CENTS is a tourist trap. This place is a nice park for the locals to bring their families, eat, and enjoy the breeze and views along Lake Managua. Walked around prior to the crowds. Good for pictures. You'll also be in the walking area of other tourist venues.

This is so stupid. And to pay to get in seems outrageous. Just a bunch of restaurants. And a ferry, if you want. Nothing special.

Easily the most popular attraction among locales, a nice break from the chaos in Managua. Beautiful landscapes, very clean, and extremely safe. There's a small fee to pay but is less than a dollar per person. If you're on a budget, you can also carry your own food and eat at one of the gazebos. If you want to try the local cuisine, just be careful when choosing a restaurant, most of them have reasonable prices, but there are a handful of exclusive brands that can be rather expensive.

Quite and peaceful in the morning, good for pictures, visted at 10 AM and was almost empty, we pay a small fee to access and generally its a very clean place.

So many things to do. All restaurants (even one inside a ship), kids activities, a large walk if you want to just do that. Safe and well kept touristy area in Nicaragua's Capital city.

The port is nice, you have to pay to enter though. The restaurants are nice, open seating and inside A/C areas. The service is not that good, but the food is very nice. Always order the fried pargo and some musels as an appetizer. A nice toña michelada always helps with the heat.

Referred to by the locals as the Malecon, this is a development of restaurants and bars right along the lakefront in Managua. It's beautifully laid out, very colorful, and very welcoming. There's a nice selection of restaurants, and other attractions are being added. I visited twice and enjoyed it both times. I'm looking forward to going back and seeing the rest of it when it's completed.

While being at Managua, it is a must to go and have some lunch at this place, there are many restaurants and souvenirs with nice views , very safe, close to the museums and local park with nice architectural features.
