We enjoyed the church on our first evening after having a walk on the promenade.The church has beautiful interior and exterior and is well worth a visit.Just want to mention that you can review this attraction twice on TripAdvisor, which might be a little confusing.

At once it is a little odd to walk in without shoes but this is India and not Paris and Notre Dame. Beautiful and luminious interior.

Pondy’s French churches are soul cleansing and I recommend the Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Cathedral with the caring statue of Our Lady with the infant Jesus in her arms. I was lucky to enter the Bienvenue A Notre Dame Des Anges or The Church of Our Lady of the Angels with my camera. The insides, especially the ceilings, are ethereal. “Rooms Available” says the Heritage Hotel Villa Bayoud on the sea front and I resolve to stay in it if ever there will be a next time for me at Pondy!

Pondy churches are very vibrant and the architecture of the churches varies a lot. This Church is right there on the Mission Street - that is one of the most well known 'market' street of Pondy. If you are interested in attending one of the Tamil language masses in the Church, then there is added value for you. Otherwise, a simple visit is a must! Tip: Get on top of a building infront of the church towards the evening. The setting sun plays a beautiful role in making each evening special! Our hotel overlooked the towers of this pretty white church/cathedral so we went to have a look. It's got that big white wedding cake look and it's very well maintained. Of the many churches in Pondi it's one of the best but half an hour after walking out, I'd forgotten almost everything about the place. Sadly, they all just feel a bit interchangeable.

Awesome place to go with family and i enjoyed watching all the places with a touch of french in all the places of pondicherry.

It's located in the Mission Street in Puducherry. It's across the Street Agne Road. But check the opening hours when you also wanna visit it inside.

Beautiful piece of architecture - not really like the Notre Dame in Paris, but there's a distinct similarity. Big & beautiful grounds too. Nice experience to visit.

Found right in the middle of the town, this vast church is said to have been a temple before. A must-visit for everyone. You can stroll down to the park nearby towards the seaside.

Lovely Catholic Church , iconography ornate, easy to be Catholic here! Several places inside to pray.

The Eglise de Notre Dame de la Immaculee church, or the church of Immaculate conception is located on Mission street or Cathedral street in the Tamil quarter of Pondicherry.It was founded as a small parish church in 1686 and in 1729 St Lazar is said to have named it a church.The church has a beautiful facade, probably the prettiest facade in Pondicherry. The facade seems to have a Portuguese influence in it's design.If you want to take a photograph of the church facade, visit it in the morning. In the evening the sun is behind the church silhouetting it.

If you want to balance between Hindu temples, the Ashram, Auroville, the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception should be on your list if you have the time in Pondy. The interior is not as stunning as the other main Catholic church in the Tamil section of Pondy. Take an auto (3-wheeler) for a spin of the churches in Pondy

Pondicherry city have many beautiful churches , this is one the best church we have ever visited. We enjoy and found this place very peaceful and attended one of the prayer.

from the outside yeah it was really nice .... did not get to go inside there was construction going on at one wing of the church
