Old Catholic Churches are in abundance here in the Philippines. Barasoain Church is one of the few that kept the historical feel. As a Marian devotee, I have made it a must to visit a Carmelite church whenever I get the chance.

I attended dawn mass and i havent been to this place since 1997; and theyve renovated the place. Beautiful. Plus supporting the local tourism scene isnt such a bad idea.

It was pretty interesting visiting here. It's a really old church with lots of big statues everywhere, including one in the courtyard dedicated to Pope John Paull II. There's a museum attached to the church which tells the history of the Filipino revolution and their struggles against both Spanish and American colonization.

The Barasoain Church will always be an important part of Filipino history and Filipino lives. Not counting the significant events that occurred here through the course of history, the structure itself plays a huge part in the cultural development of Filipinos since it was one of the religious centers during the Spanish colonial era.The construction of the church was spearheaded by Augustinian priests for it to be the center of the expansion of Catholic religion in Northern and Central Luzon. The church has been the venue of important events in the history of the Philippines like the convening of the First Philippine Congress, the establishment of the First Philippine Republic and the presidential inauguration of two Philippine presidents; Emilio Aguinaldo, the first President of the Philippines and Joseph Estrada, to commemorate the historical event. As a native of Bulacan, I am a constant visitor of this house of worship, local attraction and national treasure. The structure never cease to amaze me specially its neo-classical facade. The same frontage of the church is printed in the back of the 200 bill.I invite local and foreign tourists to visit the Barasoain Church and other historical, cultural and natural wonders of the Province of Bulacan like the Philippine Arena, the Biak na Bato National Park and other Spanish colonial churches and buildings. I also invite everyone to the Province's fiestas and festival like the Carabao Festival in The town of Pulilan, the Fertility Rites in Obando, the Pagoda Festival in Bocaue, the Holy Week Procession in Baliuag and others.See you there! :-)

This was our 2nd destination in our Visita Iglesias 2014. We were amazed how beautiful the place was preserved and kept up to the present time. It was so easy to find in Malolos, Bulacan and there was ample parking space within its patio. We were there at noon time and the first we went to was its Adoracion chapel since the front church doors were closed. But the church was open through its right side garden entrance doors. You get to feel how old the church was once inside and it was a solemn place to meditate and pray and lastly have some souvenir shots. God's house was awesome. There were security personnel manning their posts at the gates and church maintenance staff at work who would answer any of your queries.

a priest says that a visita iglesia should not be a sightseing, i know i'm guilty of that but i just love going to churches aside from praying, admiring the church is part of my visit. the barasoain church got one of the best interiors among the churches i have visited. i love the carvings found at the church doors. the altar is wonderful and most of all the church i felt that the church is very solemn.

Visited the church last sunday, January 26, 2014. I arrived at around 930 and a mass was on going. I took the opportunity to attend a mass so I waited for the 1030 mass to start. The plaza in front of the church also serves as a parking lot every morning and afternoon. Serenity fills up the place during lunch time because there's no scheduled holy mass.

We passed by here when we were on our way to a friend's house in Malolos. The church has a very nice, classic architectural design, both outside and in. The place feels very serene especially while there's a mass going on. If it wasn't too far from home, I would like to choose to get married here.

It's really a very historical wedding because this is where the 1st constitution of the Philippines was formed. It's in Malolos, Actually it is somehow still preserved by the government. it's a must to visit here and see how the Philippine Governmenr started.
