Bit run down but nice to try a bar away from the resort. Beer 4 dollars a bottle, was expecting it to be cheaper but maybe the tourists are charged more.

Cold beer, very kind staff, local sights, people and a great location.Shops and vendors nearby did not get pushy or did not interrupt to make a sale. Very pleasant experience, would definitely go back.

We spent 3 days diving wth Resort Divers from Sharkies Beach. Although only 100 metres or so from our hotel we were picked up promptly every day. We are seasoned divers but were looking for some relaxation which we certainly found here. We had for once not taken all our own equipment and the equipment we hired was in good order . The staff were all friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the whole atmosphere as much as the diving. We did 2 dives of 45 to 55 mins each with a minimum surface interval in between in the morning and we were back at our hotel for a late lunch. There was always water on the boat and the dive master and crew knew the dive sites well. The dive sites were lovely and varied with some interesting swim-throughout awesome corals and sponges and many fish. Although the atmosphere was very laid back and fun we never felt unsafe and will certainly be diving wth them again. Relax and enjoy.

Well worth a visit. Nothing I didn't like. Good food in a relaxing environment with good music. Friendly people both locals and tourists.

Sharkies Beach is a beautiful location, right on the beach, cold beer, great bartenders, great ambiance, delicious food.

Nice to try the local fare and see some interesting items like ceviche & bammy. A little on the pricy side.

Their equipment is needing some love!!! Beach was not maintained and dive club equipment was leaking. Dive masters...did a very good job.

we went to sharkies quite a lot very good,plus it has free wi fi only 10 min walk,food is excellent,staff are friendly,the locals say hi that's it they don't hassel you

Food was great, local and visitors eat there. Right on the beach, unfortunately its a trash beach but the view is still nice.

Made the 1.5 mile walk from our resort to Sharkies and it did not disappoint! I had a fresh Escovitch (fried parrot fish w/pickled veggies) and my husband had the seafood plate with shrimp, lobster and parrot fish. We also had a side of Festival (think funnel cake hush puppies) and Saltfish patties. Everything was so good!

They gave us a sample of the Jerk Pork when we showed up, and I'm glad they did - it was fantastic!! We also enjoyed the pumpkin rice and festival, and an ice cold Red Stripe!!

We did all of our scuba diving out of sharkies beach in Runaway Bay. The beach was always clean and the Reggae music was always great. Every morning the staff were out cleaning up the beach and raking the sand. Nice place and close the resort.

so friendly, cheap and nice bar to chill in. Met alot of friends at sharkies bar. The beach was beautiful. Real beer as well. A must to try.

Wonderful place to stop and have the FRESHEST fish! Sit on the beach, swim, eat, drink and be merry. The kids took out the soccer ball and had a great time playing impromptu game with whoever wanted to join in. If you like to travel and check out the local spots and not just the resorts then this is the place for you. Staff were fun!

A little piece of heaven. Real Jamaican food, the beach there is lovely as well. a trip to Jamaica is not complete with out a visit to this lovely and tasty spot.I'll be back in Oct.
