One of the most beautiful churches I have ever been in. Very modern with fabulous paintings around the walls. Like many other correspondents, thoroughly enjoyed the music every mass we attended with special mention of the steel drummer. We attended the Christmas Eve vigil Mass and had the great pleasure of hearing traditional and non-traditional Christmas carols in Creole, Spanish, Tagalog and English, a superb experience.Mass in English at 5.30pm every day and 9am on Sunday's. Go even if you are not religous just to see the lovely church.
From the moment I walked in Sunday morning, I felt very comfortable as a visitor to OLDP. Steel drum added a wonderful flare to the liturgy.
A must for all Catholics. Convenient time, close by, Special blessing after Mass for all of us travelers. Very Nice!!!
Went to Mass of the Epiphany and was so pleased to have had Mass said in Creole, Spanish and English. The Music was fantastic with the voices, the steel drum and guitars. Afterwards, there was a blessing of Our Lady and Child statue outside. The Statue is 8' tall and brand new. A beautiful service in a beautiful House of God.
Modern and a very beautiful Catholic church in an island paradise in the Caribbean. The church bells are nice, too.
This church is absolutely gorgeous - the woodwork, the marble, the stained glass - it is an amazingly beautiful church. Fr Orlando officiates an excellent mass, giving a special blessing to travelers and visitors. It is also the only mass I have attended with a steel drum that accompanies all the music! It was a special and welcoming parish, and I am happy I was able to attend mass here during my stay in Providenciales.
Very surprised this was not a full time parish. Seem to be few Roman Catholics in Provo. Enjoyed the Sunday service on Saturday night, less than 30 visitors that Mass.
The new church is so friendly and modern. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary there. The choir even had a steel drum player with an awesome mostly Filipino choir.
Attended Mass two weekends while we were there! Loved the steel drum accompaniment for the hymns! Do check the schedule as some Masses are said in Creole and Spanish!
We found out today of Father Peter's new assignment. As visitors we were blessed to meet him on our many trips here over the past 12 years......and could see the fruits of his labors on every visit.http://www.miamiherald.com/2014/02/20/3948331/no-2-leader-in-archdiocese-of.html
When we attended mass in the parish church 13 years ago it was not the lovely new church that is there now. Music was beautiful w/ accompaniment of steel drums & guitar. A wonderful beginning to our week in Provo!
New, comfortable church with a good priest and friendly congregation. Easy to find as it is on the main road. Be sure to check the Mass schedule for the Mass time in your language choice.
My wife and I went mistakenly to the Creole Mass at 10.30AM on Sunday I think and while everyone was very hospitable to us and the charming new church was beautiful, we should have read our mass times a little better. It was very nice though to see the locals so dressed with their children and the great Creole singing. We will definetly go back but will try the English mass next time.
This church is easy to find, large, new and has the most reverent and beautiful service. The music is fantastic and the priest is very uplifting. I look forward to returning!
Very modern, just built, but most of all being able to go to Mass while on vacation. Surprisingly quite a large congregation, many tourists. The only down side, the taxi cabs totally take advantage of tourists. No matter how many people that ride, you are charged per person, even if they stop to pick up additional people. We had a group of 8 people, always had fares of near $100 for each trip no matter where you went.
