Nice beach- strong current though, and pretty crowded. I would be hesitant to let younger kids swim alone on this beach.

Arguably one of St. John's most popular beaches, it can get quite crowded. But it is beautiful. Snack stand and boutique/chair rental are available, but no changing rooms or restrooms unless you can sweet-talk the VI ecotour people into letting you use theirs.

Fantastic snorkeling. Easy walk to the beach. Not crowded. On Mondays and Wednesdays, cruise ships stop by so best to go on another day. The best snorkeling is between Soloman and Honeymoon beaches.

This is our third year visiting St. John and a day at Honeymoon Beach remains one of our favoritenorth shore must-do's. It is just one beach east of the crowded, popular Trunk Bay beach. It is possible to avoid the $20 parking fee by taking advantage of a few limited off the street spaces just outside the Caneel Bay Resort on Rt. 20. This only lengthens the walk through the resort to the beach by about five minutes and is therefore possible to carry chairs, snorkel gear and a back pack with drinks and snacks without difficulty. Except for a short flight of cement stairs, the walk is level and on pavement through the beautifully groomed and landscaped grounds, until the very end. The path then becomes dirt with some rocks and descends slightly to the calm, soft, white sand beach replete with shade trees, restroom facilities, rentals and a shop with the MANDATORY gelato!Snorkeling experience is limited close to shore, but a great place for beginners to "get their feet wet." It appears that snorkeling improves beyond the swimming area as evidenced by the many moored day sail boats. It is a scenic bay with convenient facilities and the added advantage of diverse island background "music" of feral crowing roasters and braying donkeys.

Great to hike to! There's plenty to do or nothing depending on your mood. The sand is smooth. There are lounge chairs to rent along with an assortment of activities.

Lots of shade or sun. You can rent lounge chairs for $10 for the whole day. Plus they had other nonmotor water sport items, kayaks, paddle boards, floats, etc. you could rent as a package for about $49.

A great beach, but crowded. Wait Johns is full of great beaches. The others are not crowded, so unless you really like people watching why come here?

Beautiful sand beach but somewhat crowded bc of the resortThe hike was lovely and the water was crystal clear

This has been our favorite beach for some time. Quiet less crowded with hammocks, great snorkeling and beautiful sand. However this year they have brought in dozens of kayaks, paddle boards, floating circular rafts, tubes, kite sails and about anything imaginable for the water. I thought I was on Hampton Beach in NH or on a beach on the Jersey shore. Very congested now. Too bad they ruined one of St. John's treasures.

Best beach we visited on St John. Excellent views, white sand and calm waters. Best snorkeling of the 5 beaches we visited. Can hike in for free or park at Caneel Bay for $20 but if you spend $20 on drinks or food at the snack shop you don't have to pay the $20.

Able to rent chairs, floats, etc. We snorkeled and it was beautiful. The water was crystal clear. The staff was friendly and helpful. You go to Caneel Bay, get a ticket for $20- if you spend $20 while there, your parking entrance ticket is voided when you leave. It was very relaxing and peaceful. A bit of a walk (5minutes-somewhat hilly- may be hard to to with small children or elderly) from where you are allowed to park---well worth it

This beach is in a small island and it is awesome!!! They have great food and I loved it! This was part of an excursion which was the best of all trip! There are a few rocks in the water so I highly recommend water shoes.

We arrived here from the Cruz Bay ferry dock in maybe 5 minutes or so by open air taxi ($5 each way) The Caneel Resort grounds are just stunning! The beach there is gorgeous too. We were greeted to the resort and followed the clearly marked signs to the beach. My mom has some breathing problems and was ok with the walk. A little hot for her so we just took it slow. We were in flip flops and were ok on the dirt road. (10-15 mins or so walk)The beach was busy but not over crowded. We rented chairs ($10) and had plenty of shade. The water is an incredible blue color with powdery white sand. Washrooms were small but clean. My favorite beach we visited on St. John!

Amazing water is everywhere but if you hike to this from Mongoose you will feel like you have found Paradise when you reach the beach. It has incredible trees hanging near so you can hang shirts or gear or seek a little shade. Its quiet and peaceful and it is one of my favorite places

All of the beaches on St. John are beautiful, this one is a great way to spend the day. be prepared for a walk on a dirt road, but once you get there, everything that you need is right there. The $20 to park was easily covered by puchasing food from the staff that walks the beach. Take your $20 in receipts and parking is free.
