On an all day boat ride everyone talked about this drink only at Motu. A peanut butter drink. So the next day we took the ferry to St. John. Walked over to Motu. I will never have a drink that yummy again. I just wish it was not so filling so that I could drink at least 3 of them. If on St. John you haveTo get this cocktail. Yum

This was our first time(s) at Motu. What a cocktail menu!!! We tried Bellinis, Watermelon Margaritas, and several kinds of Bushwackers, each better than the last!! Hillary and Heather are truly a bartender dream team! Thanks for the good times!!

This place is awesome. Motu was new to us as we hadn't been to St John for a couple years. It's in a great location sort of across from Beach Bar, but with a very different vibe. The bartender (MJ?) is a treasure. We started out with some standard cocktails, but once we saw some of the concoctions she was making, we branched out. Try a watermelon margarita with cayenne.

Stop by for a drink. They have VI Hoppin IPA on tap, as it is my favorite beer on St. John. The pumpkin bushwackers are exceptional. The two ladies behind the bar are unbelievable, and very helpful with local information. We will definitely return.

Second time we have been to Motu, last time 2 years ago. Had the peanut butter bushwacker the first time, today we had the peanut butter Nutella bushwacker! All I have to say is yum! The bartenders were extremely friendly, views great, a really comfy place to go to. We will return again!

Motu is absolutely great.... You must try the peanut butter bushwhacker.... the owner Dawn is phenomenal.... such a people person and makes everyone feel like she's known you for many years. Definitely will be going back.... My wife and I really loved this place....Felix and Sonia

Gorgeous atmosphere, friendly bartenders, amazing drinks! If you fortunate to be on the island during one of their special parties, you will have a blast!

We showed up here as stop 3 on a bar hop around Cruz Bay. We arrived at around 6:15 pm. The bartender, Heather, was excellent. Tried the Bellini, mojito, motu-Ito and all were delicious. The chocolate pretzel shot was out of this world. This place has a perfect view of the sunset. We met some really nice people too. I highly recommend this place. We will be going back.

If your looking for a nice relaxing bar with a beautiful view then head over to Motu. Located right next to Grand Bay Resort Motu serves up a great relaxing atmosphere looking out over Cruz Bay. Motu is a small bar that serves up great drinks. Hopefully when you go MJ will be there. She really takes pride in serving up her special drinks. We would stop there every night for at least 1 or 2 drinks before or after dinner on our way back to Grand Bay. Motu is a beautiful bar with a comfortable seating area over looking Cruz Bay. Motu is an upscale bar with great drink prices. All drinks are made top shelf. Not your typical noisy well drink bar which are all over St John. Don't get me wrong I love that too. But when you just want to relax and have a conversation without yelling at the person your with then Motu has it hands down. Motu is our favorite bar on St John

Really enjoyed Motu and the scenery. Service was great and atmosphere was fun and relaxing. A must stop when visiting St John.

all i can say you is you cannot go wrong if the first day you are on st. john you walk over to Motu and settle in for a sunset cocktail. unbeatable. it is the reason folks like us go to the islands.

We went to a cocktail hour here last night and had the nicest time. They had a steel pan player, light appetizers brought in from next door and a few drink specials. This place is just around the corner from all of the beach bars in Cruz bay and shouldn't be missed. Nice outdoor couches and an elevated patio give you a different perspective on Cruz Bay while sipping a rum drink. I think they are open from 2p-10p, and while they do not have a kitchen, they do let you order food from Ronnies pizza or Banana Deck and get it delivered.

The atmosphere was relaxing and the fresh squeezed margaritas were my favorite! The view was beautiful and the staff was friendly.

On our third visit to St. John, we made our first visit to Motu. This beautiful open-air bar and lounge area has killer views of the beach on Cruz Bay. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back. The bartenders are outstanding and can make you just about any drink you might care to have. Our favorite bartender hands-down was MJ...friendly, attentive, and she can mix the best drinks. Our friend loved MJ's dill pickle martini and MJ made me a key lime cocktail that I will never forget. We visited Motu many, many times during our 10-day stay on St. John and it was our favorite bar (and we visited a LOT of bars). We also brought home a wide variety of the great Motu merchandise they have for sale. LOVED IT!!!!
