Great place on the Main Street in Barry's Bay, where you can find some really neat and esoteric stuff - many of it locally hand crafted. Prices are very reasonable and staff is very friendly and accommodating if somethingneeds to be packaged for travelling.

Great place to buy gifts that are a bit different than the norm.Hammocks,rings,wood furniture and art. Nice place just to look through and find something a bit different.

Their buyer must have a ball picking out things to display. Lots of choices and fairly priced. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. A great place to visit when in Barry's Bay.

This is a must see while in Barry's Bay. Many unique items from jewellery to sun catchers to garden items, clothing and amber stuff. We purchased a huge sun for our fence. Hard to leave without buying something.

We stay at McMillans Cabins, Golden Lake every year in July and make at least one trip into Barry's Bay for a visit to Grumblin Granny's. I always leave with something special and unique although the window shopping is a fun trip all on it's own!The store is clean and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back next year! :)

Grumblin' Granny's is a hodge podge of imported items ranging from hammocks to carved pieces to art work to bird baths to jewellery. Anyone who loves to shop and appreciates unique (and sometimes bizarre items) will love it. They have a great range of silver jewellery including pieces for body piercing, rings and earings with skulls, spider themes etc and lots of amber rings etc. It definitely has a hippy/new age theme and sells bubbling bowls, shawls,tops and ponchos; wooden carvings, incense, windchimes and a whole lot more. Well worth dropping by.

OK - to give you a bit of an idea - you will find water buffalo skulls that have been handcarved into works of art - end tables made from a carved log of mahogany, tables and chairs made from the stumps of tropical trees. Handcarved statues and ornaments of an endless variety, all hand-picked in Indonesia by members of the family that operates this outlet and an associated outlet in the Toronto area. We make a pilgrimage to this place every Summer, at least once each Summer, more often if we have visitors from out of the country. Our home and our cottage hold excellent examples of the carver's art as a result of visits here. Don't miss this place if you are anywhere near Barry's Bay. It is absolutely unique.
