Camp is run down. Several equipment breakdowns with the motors. Cabins weren't clean and docks were poorly maintained. Arrived around midnight and dropped off on the side of the railroad tracks and didn't get to our cabins for almost 2 hours. There is a reason why the rates are cheap - you pay for what you get and we didn't even get our moneys worth.

Allanwater Bridge Lodge is a long haul to get to from Texas, but was well worth the trip. My dad and brothers and I spent 5 days at the lodge, fishing the 2 lakes and 1 river that are accessible from their location. They provide cabins with generator power (on until 10 or 11 pm), bathroom and hot shower facilities, and the boats with 25 hp motors. The lodge is accessible from either float plane or railroad - we chose plane to fly in all of our gear and food. I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent fishing and watching wildlife, including bald eagles, moose, and caribou. I highly recommend Allanwater for chance to get away from civilization and fish and enjoy the wilderness.
