Amazing view at the top; one of the most breathtaking views I've had (and I've been up a fair few towers...)Friendly staff too - and their German is also impressive!
This was a fantastic way to get a birds-eye view of the 1000 islands, and the lady who talked us through the views was well informed and interesting to listen to. We were lucky with clear blue skies on the day.
This SkyDeck is located just miles from American-Canadian Border, Gananogue (Canada) and Alexandria Bay (NY, USA).You can stop there for half of hour or so. Great view on Thousand Islands opens from the top of the tower. Very fast elevator can take you to any of three levels.Be advised that tower is not open all year around and can be close due to windy weather.Very convenient and good souvenir shop at the exit.
It is really interesting to have a birds view over all the small islands and the border between Canada and the USA. The lady awaiting us at the 1st floor was very enthusiastic and it was great to listen to her stories about the islands, the cottages, the owner etc. You should'nt miss it!
If you are planning on visiting the 1000 Islands region this is a must to visit. We visited the day before we did a 1000 Islands cruise and it made the boat trip so much more enjoyable as we could get an aerial view of the islands and understand the geography. It was fantastic to see the islands and bridges and then cruise under them on the boat. Make sure when you leave the elevator you climb up the stairs to the top floor, this deck was less windy than the one directly above the enclosed elevator floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of infromation about the tower and the 1000 islands.
We didnt know theres a Thousand Island Cruise nearby.. We travel an hour from kingston after our Cruise at Thousand Islands just for this, before we head back to Toronto.. It was really out of our way, but its all WORTH the trip.. We went there just before sunset although it was a cloudy day.. U could see all sorts of islands small, big, you could also see the border, it was overall a breathtaking beautiful view.. The staffs are very nice too.. And oh did i mention that there ice creams taste good too..
The sky deck is right off the International Bridge, on the Canadian side. Admission would get you to the general observation deck thru the elevator. There are two higher decks accessible using the stairs. The view is great. Don't miss it if you have time.
Came here from Montreal, Quebec, driving to Toronto. The view is beautiful, during the day, it just amazing! There are all sort of Islands, big ones and small ones. Beautiful overall.
It was wonderful to get the view of the area and read and learn about the history. Great stop off the 1000 Islands Parkway. Near to so many area activities.
The view from the Sky deck is gorgeous. The staff at the top of the sky deck was very informative. Would love to see the foliage in the fall. Going through customs was easy and a short line.
It was a miserable day so not a good view but the staff soon cheered us up. A very quick journey to the top of the Tower where Denise pointed out the sites including several deer feeding. She told us the history of the area, explained about the Peace Bridge and generally was very informative. It did help that we were the only people up there but I am sure she would always be very friendly and helpful.
You get beautiful view from the deck at the top. We enjoyed time spending here. The staff here is knowledgeable and willing to give you all information.
This attraction offers a nice view of the surrounding 1000 Islands and is roughly $11.00. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. I would rate this attraction as pretty good but the price is slightly high for what is offered.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff, excellent view, would go back again. Fast elevator, lots of information to read and learn about the tower and local attractions. Well stocked gift shop.
The skydeck is a quick little stop to get a great view of the Islands and the surrounding area. We visited on a Wednesday so it wasn't busy at all - I think the family spent a total of about 30 minutes enjoying the views from the 3 levels.
