hockley valley resort

Hockley Valley is a good skiing resort for beginners/intermediate levels. It is less then 1 hour drive from Richmond Hill, ON. This is perfect place for the family winter activities(younge children and teens ).The place has 2 lifts: one close to the office and another one on the back. The back one is less crowded. We purchased a voucher through travelzoo.ca ( can be a day pass with with an equipment rent or just the day pass) - that was a great deal.

Fortunate to visit Hockley for business and very much impressed with the resort and amenities! Food awesome, room spacious and activities plentiful! Thanks to the staff for making our visit enjoyable!

My husband and I and our two kids ages 8 and 11 went for the day during the week. This was my youngest son's first time skiing. We were hoping to get lessons for him but due to school trips we were not able to do so. We started him off on the Teddy Bear hill and that is where we met "Mama Bear". She was amazing with our son and also with me since I am a beginner skier as well. She was very patient with us, gave us tips and helped us by encouraging my son and praising him along the way. She definitely made our day very enjoyable. Within a couple of hours my son had moved up to the Easy Rider slope. We will be back next season to conquer the remaining slopes. THANK YOU MAMA BEAR!!

We were there for a New Years Eve Party. Very nice resort and the party was great,Good food and great music.

We went here for the first time and were pleasantly surprised, there's a nice mix of hills for beginners and novices. It is also a very picturesque drive in the surrounding area.

Everything, food, location, rooms, service. Will definitely go back on a personal vacation. Would like to check out the rest of the facilities.

Nestled in the hills of mono the resort offers a wonderful stop on an autumn tour of splendid colours. Dine, drink or just take in the scenery and a good nights sleep.

The ladies had a wonderful time. Manager Tony was very accommodating when the gardener showed up late. Gardener Santos was wonderful, such a nice man. The ladies were pleased with their herb boxes.The rooms are lovely and the beds extremely comfortable. Everyone commented on the great sleep they had due to the comfy beds, but I think it might have had something to do with all the wine we drank. LOLDinner was fabulous, service excellent and the buffet breakfast more than we expected. Excellent!

I went for June afternoon special . I was taken into locker, gave key given flip flops. So I open locker and rob was there. Wasn't sure if was put on now as told ..when done need order Lunch.I brought my rob into seating area and given a menu. I looked at it wasn't explained that only get 1item with deal....So I checked off salad, main and dessert? Would been nice, as drove 2hrs. Never been there before....to explain what I do instead of looking like fool.I than had spa treatment which was great and girl really nice. Than went have lunch, when I was done I waited at table for check for extra food I ordered. no one in sight, so than went in and stood by cash register for Aprox. 8 mins. Than girl did spa told me bill has already been processed and pay Where I came in.The lack of customer service was terrible and very dis appointing. Basic customer service and means a lot.

Our family has been going there for the last three winters and we love it. Great little resort with more than enough challenge for our young family. Wonderful hotel onsite and fantastic food made fresh onsite at the ski cafeteria. Fantastic staff.
