Recently stayed for a week in September. Sites are large and private. Very quiet family friendly campground with trails and Playground. Was only disappointed with the amount of Poison Ivy. There was so much that you could not walk anywhere but on you campsite and designated walking areas (no walking between sites). We tried to walk a trail but the Poison Ivy got so thick we had to stop and turn around. You do have to drive out of the park to the beach which was no big deal for us. The beach is beautiful. Also, the golf was $15 for 9 holes and a cart. Perfect for a short game. Overall enjoyed this park.

Located off the shores of Lake Erie near the town of Turkey Point, Turkey Point Provincial Park is the only park in the Ontario Parks system with its own golf course. The park is in a wooded area and has been in service since about 1956. All of the sites are spacious and private. Some of the sites have electricity. None of the sites have water or sewer. There is no restaurant on site and the Park Store is small and lacking in basics like milk and bread. You can hear traffic from the nearby road at night. The beach is about 2 kilometers down the road (you need to drive to it) in Turkey Point. The beach is sandy but the shoreline is covered in weeds and sharp shells. There are nice shade trees on the beach. Stay clear of the outhouses at the breach; they stink like you would not believe! There are no picnic tables on the beach. Getting back to the campground, firewood is available for sale at the Store for a modest fee. No kindling. The comfort stations are dated but clean. The dump station is small; be prepared to wait a long time. The power outlets at the campground are spaced very far apart so be sure to bring a long extension cord if you want power. Oh, and watch the roads inside the park; they are narrow. We saw a large trailer actually hit a tree. Shows at the park were good. The kids especially liked a dog show featuring Timber, a police dog. And at night on Saturdays, there is a scavenger hunt. In conclusion, Turkey Point Provincial Park is nothing special. It is dated and lacking in infrastructure. And the beach is disappointing. Long Point Provincial Park is just down the road and a much better place to camp.

We loved camping at Turkey Point. Very nice sites. Clean park and love that there was lots for us to see and do. Will be back to camp there again.

My Husband and I just got back from a 4 day visit to Turkey Point Provincial park - I was looking for a great beach and some fishing. I was told...there was both...even if we brought our dog...This is NOT the case. The 'dog friendly beach' is 10 ft of dirty, marshy water front. We were so disappointed (and embarrassed when we got there - as we had all of our beach day gear with us in hand) to realize it was not ideal to swim or spend any amount if time at. The fishing was also scarce...a rocky point off the boat marina doesn't lend well to fishing with little kids. The camping site was nice and private, but everything is very far apart (you drive to beach, golf course, fishing etc). Not ideal. Wouldn't go back. We definitely feel mislead by the person we spoke to in the office before booking.

The husband and I stayed on site 47 in Walking Stick campground. Very happy with the site - A corner site in the outer perimeter. Very private and large site with lots of shady trees. Water tap and washrooms only a few sites away. Comfort station washrooms were quite clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had 2 dogs with us. We found the dog beach pretty disappointing - water was muddy and swamp-like. So we went 20 min down the coast to Port Dover. If you arrive early enough you can get prime parking right on the beach for $10. We simply secured our pooches to the trucks tailgate and set up our beach chairs. Q

The site we were on was a large ,private and had sand /grass base.My wife and I camp with our dog and only try camping at places that have "dog" friendly beaches.The dog beach consisted of a path way cut through "swamp" grass to a beach that was again a cleared out section of long grass about 20 ft wide .You have to wade out a bit through the muddy bottom until you reach the sandy bottom .Upon arrival at the camp ground we see multiple deer tick carrying Lyme disease warning signs.Had I known this threat I would have never booked online .No were on the Turkey point website was there any warnings about this .

We stayed there in July 2014. Great wooded camp area (really... woods!) with plenty of space between camp grounds. Clean, organized, close to the beach. The beach is not the best I've ever seen in southern Ontario, but it is comparable to others in the area. The park was absolutely great though!

The Pull thru sites were huge the campsite was quiet. the beach is separate from the park and very busy and full of boaters docked off-shore, yeck! for a provincial park. all in all I'd take a pass on turkey point. Long point is near-by and has a way better beach.

This park has a nice nine hole course you can play when you are visiting the park. It is very close to the town of Turkey Point.

I love going to turkey point provincial park our family goes camping every year at turkey point, only thing is some campsites are too closes to each other

Great on the weekends if you like people watching. Great during the week to sit and relax and listen to the sound of the waves.

turkey point is lively vibrant lakeside retreat in the summer months, i went in october out of season to have a rest from the world outside.In october you got the lake to yourself and beach,nice if you like to be alone to think ,+side is some stores open & 2nd sand bar is good for food and a deck area facing the lake on the front.

We stayed the August long weekend, all the sites were booked. You do feel like you are camping but most of the sites are visible to each other. I noticed a lot of 'groups' bunched the the same areas, which is no problem, except when someone forgets to bring something to the next camp site and they yell "EMMA, BRING THE PANCAKE MIX WITH YA" at 8 am Sunday morning. It is very family oriented with lots of bikes and trikes, a very good sense of 'busy'. For the traffic, it is a well kept campground, more like a park than a woods. It is close to the beach, but not on the beach, I was glad our weekend was cooler. Good to meet people, good for families.

We drove into the Turkey Point Provincial Campground to check it out. The campground is a wooded area with sites quite close together with no real separating between them. Thus there would be no privacy and more chances of noisy disturbances, mosquitos and ticks. The Provincial Park is not near the beach. If you want the beach you have to go into Turkey Point the town.Did you know that if you visit one provincial site you can visit another up until 10pm.

I've camped 6 times this year at Turkey Point Provincial Park and would recommend it to everyone. It offers a variety of things to do. The 40km's of bike trails surrounding the park, a beautiful beach just down the road, a 9 hole golf course about 3 min away, zip-lining available minutes away at Long Point Eco park are just a few things to do. Less then 2 hrs from Toronto this place offers a lot. The campsites are quite big, serviced and unserviced, well treed, well kept grounds, clean washrooms/showers and a very friendly staff- this is a great campground. There are lots of fruit and vegetable stands along the highway too. There is a beer and LCBO about 2 min down the hill near the beach which also is a small grocery store. The park is beautiful and I'll be coming back next year. Bring your bug spray.
