algoma orchards

I have shopped on a couple of occasions at the Algoma Orchards shop and have had mixed feelings.The pros- A great variety of apples and mostly local produce. The wide variety of baked items and speciality foods in the freezer area.The cons-The prices are a little steep. Some of the bakery items are also a little heavy. In particular any of the banana or pumpkin loaves. Stick to the pies or cookies.Overall it is a nice shop to visit when your looking for a nice box of apples or craving ice cream cone with the kids.There also is a deli and a area where you can buy little house ware style gifts or candles.The cider also is worth trying too.
