long beach conservation park

Nice place could be very nice but I'm a beach person and if the beach smells like a sewage dump. I head home and do not go back. The site we had was 201 on the beach! Was super excited! Showed up on our site to a mountain of garbage in our fire pit and the smell from the beach we just cannot forget. Black brown sludge smeared along the shores. Other than that the bathrooms average and the site was not private but satisfactory. They do have more private sites with no electricity on the other side of the park near the other beach. Ecoli is here often the staff told us. We wish the staff would have told us before we booked a site for the long weekend. We woke up and now packing for home bc ecoli means sickness that we would never have chanced to come here. Camping at a near death experience!:) lol

Spent a wonderful time at Long Beach. The weather cooperated and I had a ball , We had a picnic hiding from the heat of the sun. Enjoyed quiet time and would have loved to have brought an umbrella and stayed longer.

We've been coming here, camping out, since my kids were little. A few years ago we bought an old used trailer and rented a seasonal site. We've been coming back every summer since. The beach isn't incredible with the algae that you find throughout Lake Erie but the scenery is nice, the price is reasonable and it's a nice relaxing stay

Oh love the summertime. Lake Erie is a great place to swim, much warmer than Lake Ontario. Good swimming here. The Conservation area is really clean and kept neat. Once you've spent the day on the beach, drive down the road for a bite to eat. Great fun.
