Nice park with great views. There is a great beach here also. I wish that we had been able to be here at low tide but maybe next time.

We got here as the tide was on its way out and it was amazing to witness. We couldn't believe how fast the tide went out! We shared the entire beach with maybe a dozen people. The beach was beautiful and the water was clear. We spent a lot of time walking and enjoying the views.Another place to mention on the way out is the Five Islands Lighthouse. Its a few miles west on Route 2. It also has excellent views and you can climb to the top of the Lighthouse. Hopewell Rocks is also worth a visit, we liked it very much. We just liked Five Islands a little more as there were much less crowds, clearer water and much prettier views. See both if you can!

We wanted to go into the park to see - and walk on - the tidal flats when the tide was at it's lowest. And we did. Amazing. We got there with perfect timing. The tide was still going out - lowest was to be around 4 pm. Because of this we were able to walk all the way down the coastline below the massive red rock cliffs. This area is known for the lowest of the low and highest of the high tides and the sight was spectacular. If you want to do this walk, check your tide chart before getting there and make sure you have at least 2 hours before the tide is at it's lowest or they do not recommend going the full distance. If the tide starts to come in and you are on the far end, you may not get back in time and there is no where to go but straight up!We saw a couple of deer on the way into the park too.Awesome experience.

We had a camping site with a wide view of the river and the tide coming in and out. The washrooms were clean. We also took a hike on one of the trails that was really beautiful. The tide was way out in the evening, so we went out on the mud. I had to keep moving or the mud would suck my shoes right off. Don't wear shoes you can't clean. The boys thought it was fantastic. I'd recommend the upper campground. The lower one is just a big wide grassy area. The upper one has well separated camp sites and much more privacy. We would have liked to do the interpretive tours, but they weren't offered on the day we were there.

Our family visited the park on a day trip. We walked on the clay, muddy ocean floor at low tide. It was wonderful! My 11 year old said people pay hundreds of dollars for this mud treatment! The kids loved it. They are 11 and 13. We climbed over rocks and had stunning views. If we had enough time, we could have walked out to all of the islands. Be careful when walking as it can be slippery in places. No one fell though. Must also caution that the tide comes in very rapidly, so plan accordingly. The park staff told us how much time we had before the tides came in. There's a picnic area near the parking lot, as well as some water spickets to wash your feet off. Wonderful day and would do it again.

Park staff were very helpful in getting us info on where we could go hiking including along the beach to the Old Wife at low tide. Facilities were basic but did the job. Excellent scenic views, very nice area.

Went to Five Islands Provincial Park for a day trip. Was lucky to arrive at low tide and walked along the shore long for more than 1 hour. Very scenic and pretty

We stayed on lot 59 (walk in camp site - but only about 10 ft walking in). Its a very private lot, trees all around, not much of a view from the lot but as soon as you walk out of the trees you can see all of five islands. The sun shines on most of this lot all day and there isnt much wind (due to trees surrounding the lot) The lot is very large, could have easily fit 4 or more large tents and still have room to play.... Such a beautiful spot to stay. There is so much to see and do in five islands - we spent most of our time bass fishing (cove road), clam digging (jacobs lane), and hiking (economy falls). There is free access to the park, however camping was approximately $30 per night for 2 people and 1 tent

liked everything, great place for a family get away and to relax and enjoy the quiet. The staff was friendly, the keep the place clean and they watch to make sure that there is no one just going out there to party all night and disturb the other campers. Great Job five islands ocean resort. Will be going back there again for it was great!!!!
