The owners offer tour Fri and Sat by appt only. The the tour is concluded with a beer flight. The growlers on sale are worth the price. We loved all the beers that we tasted. They ran out of Spawning Salmon tap. The brewery is micro organic in BC and they sure know what they are doing. They grow their own hop and has a huge farm, poultry and sheep on their property. We enjoyed every moment at the brewery, very informative too.

Organic beer at it's best! These middle aged hippies sure know their stuff. Their politics is at the heart of how all ale/food production should transpire in the 21st century from the organic hops to the shunning of GMO's to the time honored tradition of buying local not global. Much has been written about their product but to appreciate where they are coming from (literally) you need to make an appointment for one of their tours Fridays and Saturdays from 1~3 pm. Visit the farm, meet the principals and hear their story and best of all taste their award winning product! Check out their blog- not your average basement beer meisters.

We get Crannog Ales at some beer pubs down in Vancouver, and were most curious to see the place, since a friend of mine recommended the tour. Tours only happen on Fridays and Saturdays, and you MUST book ahead. I recommend suitable footwear, because the tour starts with the 100% organic and sustainable farm, including a trek over to the pig pen to meet the happiest pigs in the world (because they're fed spent grain from the mash tun). The folks who run Crannog are passionate about their farm and about their beer. Nothing gets wasted or thrown away that can be reused, recycled, or fed to the livestock. Including beer! The tour finishes in the tiny tasting room, where your guide pours a taste of each of the beers available (we had four). They don't bottle their product, but you can buy and fill a growler or a party pig, to take the taste home with you.

Very informative and colourful tour of a small organic brewery, off the beaten track. Buy a growler or Party Pig, since they don't bottle their brew, but you'll want more!

Not only does Crannog brew the best beer, but Brian, Rebecca, Greg, Steve and Laura are some of the nicest most genuine people you will ever meet. They are all very passionate about what they do and it is done in a socially responsible way, with thought, love and respect.

Greg, the usual tour guide is passionate about his craft. He takes you on a most interesting tour, lets you sample the different roasted barleys, teaches the entire process of brewing from start to finish, tells you how self-sustaining they are, introduces you to the pigs on site, the hop fields and then you end in the Bloody Stump; their own wee pub for an ale tasting. Growler's are usually available for purchase if you find an ale you want more of. ALWAYS CALL AHEAD FOR A TOUR as tours are only on weekends.
