This is a nice park with a pebble beach and walking paths on both sides of Redrooffs Rd in Halfmoon Bay. It seems to be getting more popular as in the past I was often the only one around... now we see more people on the trails and at the beach. The birds in the marsh behind the beach are full of song and very busy from spring on nice to hear them while sitting on a bench and looking out to sea with the sun on ones face. How much better can a day be. Simple and relaxing.
This is a great bay pretty much any day of the year. Its well protected when weathers coming from the south. But can be large waves when from the north.bLots of driftwood blows in and it's always fun to walk from one end to the other along the driftwood. There is also a path from the parking lot to the far end where the estuary is. Lots of beach. Some of it sandy. Great for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, suping. Can be very busy on summer weekends. Which is the only time anyone cares about adhering to the signs that suggest it's a dog on leash park. The rest of the year most everyone let's their dogs run off leash and swim etc.
Very Private quiet Location. Great Swiming beach at either high or low tide. There is an estuary adjacant with many types of bird life. Walk to the far end and if your fortunate you will see live seals and see otters here
What a lovely park and ocean beach. I just loved this place but it was very hot even before noon. bring sunscreen, a hat and wear sturdy shoes so you can walk around the rocks and logs on the beach. Bring a picnic too!
Beautiful nook on the coast. Worth a quick wander around. Beach area is a good place to explore. Not a place to kill a whole day but an hour or two is perfect.
