Many restaurant choices. Restaurant patios on the waterfront (20 feet away!) Ice Cream! Can go yacht-gazing.Hard to park on a busy dayLoud boaters can be a nuissance
they have posters up explaining how the locks worked which is very interesting. You can bring a pick nic if you like and there are parking lots nearby to park at.
We enjoyed the walk and the view. Nice afternoon on the water. Lots of stores and cafes in the area to visit and enjoy a meal or beverage.
Ste Anne de Bellevue is a wonderful place to visit - there's something for everyone young old and all ages in between. Stroll the boardwalk and watch the yachts navigate the canal bypassing the rapids. Enjoy lunch or dinner on the terrace of one of the many very good restaurants. Shop in the charming town center (don't miss a visit to Daoust's). Drop a line along the canal, under the bridge or at the end of the pier in Lake of Two Mountains. Bring a picnic and enjoy the park by the locks. My favourite ice cream shop is in Ste Anne de Bellevue!
Each Weds. through the summer there is music, check the website. It is a wonderful experience to just walk along take in the sights and sounds. Stop eat at one of the many water side eateries. You can even take a picnic cross to the grass area opposite and enjoy it all from a picnic table. A great combo of relaxation and away from it city delights.
A busy canal, with a pleasant walk along side. Lined with restaurants, and very pleasant places to eat and drink. A nice location for a break from driving, or to find a place for a meal.
Nice place to walk next to the water look at the boats dock then you walk in town have a look at G. D’Aoust & Cie on the main realy nice to see feel like your in and old store from the early 1900 .Food well my place is Peter's cap cod for sea food ... go and enjoy a meal outside and Watch the yaths go by .
Great walking and enjoying the sceanary with a piece of history...on the pathway along the quays.Enjoy
I really loved this place and it was an oasis of calm after Toronto and Montreal. This village is about 45 minutes from Montreal on the train and has an amazing canal
Great end destination for a leisurely drive along Lakeshore Rd., to the western tip of Montreal Island. Lots of restos, dairy bars, and little boutiques. Nice little park on the locks and a fun place to watch boats of all kind.
Nice place to walk and to admire the boats. Some nice places to eat. Big problem - parking. You can't park for more than 2 hours on the same spot. You have to move your car! Try it at night, or the week-end! Good luck!
Very nice area, cool place to see boats as they navigate through the locks.Love the atmosphere, nice to walk around, loads of retaurants, and boutiques.
