This told us so many free things we could do to fill our day while in city .Nice coloured brouchres for us to go off the staff were all friendly and went out of way to help us
Popped in to the i-site in Wellington, and got to meet a rude, obviously bored and unwelcoming member of staff. Luckily for us, we had been travelling around NZ for a few weeks prior and know this is not the standard here or in other i-sites, but not the best image to be displayed for tourists visiting Wellington.
We got all the info we needed for our trips which was all useful when booking accommodation and travel within NZ via the Interislander. You just can't beat the Info centres around NZ, for up to date free info, and help from the staff.
If you want to know something this is the place to goOn complaint was there is sometime a wait to see someoneLots of leaflets tooSome of the trips leave from here so it's like a meeting place
The most helpful happy staff, nothing is too much trouble wether it's just a quick ....where is ? Or you have a problem that no one else seems to solve
We were very impressed by the information centre. Plenty of interesting displays and excellent service
Very helpful staff wandering around wanting to help you find what u need and book it there all at the same time.
Information, Information, Information what a great place to find out places to see and things to do. My only complaint is there stuff to sell was very expensive
This information centre is modern and is well laid out. The staff are knowledgeable and bookings for attractions and tours can be made here. Very central location
Like the numbered waiting system, gives opportunity to browse till your number comes up rather than standing in a queue. Well appointed souvenir shop. Very helpful and knowledgeable assistant gave clear instructions and information that made our travels much easier.
Oh dear, arrived at yet another I site only to find I'd closed. NZ is probably THE tourist destination of the world but the I Site opening hours are still in the 1950's. I arrived in Wellington around 16:00 and by the time I got to the door it was closed. Come on get real....
Went there a couple of times to find out about the Zoo and Weta activity. Loads of flyers about attractions and activities both in the near area and also further afield in the North Island. Staff were helpful in advice on the appropriate buses to get to take to and from the Zoo - including cost, timeframes and pickup points. We made inquiry re the Weta activity and offers to book, but our choice not to proceed.Staff had good knowledge, little reference required and pleasant.Good place to start.PS - the normal tour shop attached for last minute purchases.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know that we could have done things a whole lot better when you visited us recently. Please let me apologise for your less than pleasant experience, and as you will see from our other reviews this is not typically the type of service we deliver. I'm pleased that your overall experience of the i-SITE New Zealand network has been exceptional and am disappointed that we let the side down. The best we can do is learn from your comments and be assured that the team have been made aware of your concerns.
A good range of brochures if you do not want to seek direct advice. Members of staff are knowledgeable and will make bookings if required.
This is a great information center near the hop on hop off starting point. It has free wifi and is staffed with very helpful and knowledgeable travel agents.
