orakei korako cave and thermal park (the hidden valley)

很华丽的地方,值得一游。进到一条小路,接着就是信息量很大的主题乐园。 我们只有两个人(感觉像进入了侏罗纪公园),午后散散步很赞。小路很好走,员工会接送你过去。

爱渡轮之旅,而且不落入俗套-一点都不拥挤,遗憾的是 mudpools相当干燥,因为新西兰非常干燥但是我觉得这无法避免。

在一个潮湿的早晨,我和我的老公来到这里,而且完全不能想象这里会有什么。整个经历非常的不错,很值这个钱,你可以在这里花尽可能多的时间,在周围散步看看这里的泥浆塘里冒出的蒸汽和气泡。这里的标示和信息栏告诉了你应该知道的信息。这里有很多上上下下的路,但是为了看到这个公园里迷人的风景也值了。这个地方可能不太合适带不太会走路的孩子或者是年龄很小的孩子来这里。我很想再来这里一次而且向大家推荐这里,这是很不错的早上出游的地方。这里咖啡厅的食物还不错而且价格不贵。

在隐秘谷度过了绝佳的一天——这里有许多地热活动和间歇喷泉,太棒了。很值得到此一游,服务员很乐于助人。咖啡厅里提供美味的食物和香浓的咖啡,我们打算渡船去公园之前,来了趟咖啡厅。这里有许多木制走廊和楼梯,保持的也很好。穿上舒服的鞋子来!我们选了几条较长的路散步,在几个小时的时光里走过了很长的距离。这里地貌非常迷人,来这里游玩会是很棒的体验。即使那些不想走太远的人——走一小段距离也可以欣赏到许多美好的景色。你可以从罗托鲁瓦坐直升飞机到这里,那样实在是太酷了!

This was our first experience of geysers and the like, we were yet to arrive in Rotorua. The ferry ride across the lake added to the experience and the walkways made sure that you experienced the dramatic nature of the site. It was relatively quiet when we visited (a Monday lunchtime in mid February) so were able to take in the almost uninterrupted views at our leisure.We visited Te Puia the following day - much busier and touristy - and we pleased to have seen Orakei Korako first.

My husband and I really enjoyed the experience. Was overpriced but then again what tourist spot isn't making money off us tourists. Seemed like the wooden boards were new along the boardwalk. As mentioned in previous reviews there are plenty of steps. But with there being so much to see and hear and smell we on,y noticed the amount of steps on our return trip down to the boat. Colors were amazing.

Half way between Rotorua and Taupo this is a must see. Initially it seems quite expensive but we spent a thoroughly enjoyable 2 hours following the path between the bubbling pools of mud and steam. Also enjoyed the little ferry rides with two different friendly drivers and a reasonably priced cafe and gift store. HINT if you take this trip then don't bother with Craters of the moon in Taupo as it's much the same but no where near as good.

Well worth seeing but so many steps would be difficult for some. Many viewpoints, mud pools and geysers. Ferry takes you over to the attraction and a pleasant cafe by the car park.

Amazing, have never seen anything quite like it before. A short 30 min drive from Taupo and you will arrive. Seemed to be pretty quiet when we were there which was nice and allowed us to walk around without hving to dodge people.

We really enjoyed our visit. It was quite fascinating and set in wonderful natural bush. A great experience!

This is very easy to access from Route 1 (Taupo to Auckland) and is well worth a visit. It's in a beautiful setting and is not heavily commercialised. You arrive at the visitor centre and are taken over a long, narrow lake (water lilies were blooming when we visited) to the thermal area on the other side. The boat runs on-demand, so there's minimal delay. The route through the thermal area is all on well-maintained boardwalks and is easy to navigate. There are small geysers, boiling pools, steaming mud-holes, a bubbling mud pool and a lot of silica terraces & deposits coloured with various chemicals. The colours are best in the sun. There's also a "thermal cave", which is interesting, and almost unique, but not spectacular. After the walk you can have a snack in the restaurant and sit outside, admiring the lake & the view of the thermal area. (And there's the added excitement of seeing a sea-plane land or take off). Allow a couple of hours for the tour and then extra time for refreshments.

A lovely thermal park and not very touristy so you get some peace to admire and experience the area!

Orakei Korako is a little off the beaten track but very well worth the visit... Beautifully laid out with amazing thermals and a fabulous boardwalk all the way round this 1.5 hour attraction. There is a lovely cafe/reception overlooking the lake and a short boat trip to then stroll around the extraordinary thermals... If you only visit one... This should be it!!!!

A totally different experience. You journey out from the township of Taupo into farming country- it seems as if you are missing the turnoff as it seems further than the published 25 minutes. You arrive in a bang to a spectacular river which you had no expected!The short boat trip is enjoyable and the skill of the driver in attaching to the pontoon for disembarking is amazing.Be prepared for lots of climbing up stairs to see all the wonderous sights - bubbling mud pools, steaming geysers, hot springs, silica terraces, plus sulphur and mud coloured terraces.Not for the faint hearted!Make sure you do the full circuit to enjoy the serenity of the bush as you make your way back to the boat

I visited this place early March. It was really nice and quiet here. Partly due to late season, but also I found out that tourist busses don't bring their tourists here. The area is of good size; not too small or big. It was very easy to walk around the area, even though there are a lot of stairs. Go here, if you are in the neighbourhood!
