We had a great Australia day lunch. Lamb cooked on a spit and served in flat bread with sauces. Added to that a glass of red wine what a great way to spend the day.

We ended up here by chance and we were so glad we did. This place is amazing and completely under-rated. The food platter is delicious and can only be beaten by the amazing setting in which we ate it - on a verandah overlooking the vineyards. This view is first rate - if you want a light lunch in the vines (without the crowds) this place is for you. Plus the wines are great too and we left with quite a few bottles of red! Highly recommend.

Such a tasting! We loved their wines but most importantly we loved the service by Annie. She was knowledgeable and truely a wonderful person.We almost couldn't walk out

16 of us had a relaxing time at this place. This is a modern venue and the wine although not top shelf was satisfactory. The best was the the staff that made our short stay very pleasant, there knowledge of the area and of wine in general was very good.

Visited in October 2014, attentive wine tasting followed by lovely fresh platter on deck outside overlooking the wines.....perfect...thank you

We were on our way back to Adelaide from Kangaroo Island and decided to drop by McLaren Vale for a bit of food. We were arrived rather late in the day - close to 3pm. We did some wine tasting at the bar before ordering a platter to share and a bottle of shiraz. The views of the vineyard was beautiful and service was good. We had a great time enjoying the late afternoon..nice wine, good food, great view...what more can we ask for. Highly recommend a visit.

It was a cold wet day but inside the cellar door we were warmly welcomed and treated to some great wines. Our Assistant was so very knowledgable and helpful, describing the wines and where they came from and yes they truly were lovely. The modern facilities do not distract you from the fact that they are a traditional winery making wonderful wines so we Di not leave empty handed and ready to go back on a nicer day!

Sorry the Platter did not meet you expectations.We certainly do not charge for tastings so I assume there was some sort of misunderstanding, there are no wineries in McLaren Vale that charge for tastings that I am aware of. The only time we charge for tasting is for large bus groups. The charge is $5 and is redeemable on purchase and this is pretty much a regional standard.I hope you enjoyed the McLaren Vale Wines,Best Regards

On your way to D'Arenberg, do yourself a favour and drop into this modern winery location. The setting is scenic and the staff are friendly and very informative. There are several local and state favourites to taste.Of particular note SA makes the greater proportion of Oz brandy Angoves best known being St Agnes - but for a real treat rty (and buy) their Aged "XO": if you like Cognac - then you will love this. Very nice, modern tasting room with a great selection of wines, food, and coffee. The staff we very, very friendly and 'local'.
