This attraction is one of those special local elements that gives a place a sense of character. It's not exceptionally exciting or even very entertaining but you can say that you've seen it and that's really all that matters. It's interesting for it's sense of locality and I find that charming in its own way. It's kind of like visiting all of the "world's tallest ..." sculptures. You just have to do it so that you can say that you've been there.

Wandered down the riverbank to what looks like an old corrugated iron 2nd World War ammo dump. Turns out to be a pool of green water containing a grubby Bunyip, which apparently jumps up out of the water on occasion. Think the ammo dump idea would be a better one.

The Bunyip needs some loving care, it is old and has lost it's Roar .Very disappointing and very much an anti climax .For what is supposed to an Iconic attraction it has been neglected

What the? Remember going to this when I was a kid. Must be the last time it was cleaned. Drop in a $1 coin and you get this thing pop out the water twice and show you its slimy green face. Bit of an anticlimax. I seem to remember it making noise when I was a kid. But maybe the audio went the same way as my $1, down the drain.

It's big, loud and scary! If you're a little kid but non the less a lot of fun and a must see. Cost is a dollar but you get two pop ups for that. Easiest is to wait around and let someone else feed the money in if your a thrifty person!

The bunyip was out of service that day when we visited but there wasn't any sign. We should have suspected since not many people went there. Anyway, i put in a dollar expecting to see the Bunyip emerge from the water... but no, nothing happened. A bit disappointed.

Murray Bridge is proud of its Bunyip and ask anyone why? The location is perfect the setting is magnificent. Right on the river at Sturt Reserve you can find one of our most interesting attractions. A giant Bunyip that rises from its Murky waters to scare the tourists. In the true spirit of Australia we all thoroughly enjoy showing this off to visitors. A fun activity to do when passing through.

Not to be missed if you visit Murray Bridge. A dollar gets you two chances to see & hear the scary creature emerge from his billabong. The location, in Sturt Reserve, is perfect for a picnic, or a meal at Riverside.

A south Australian icon... yes it's cheesy and you gotta pay a dollar, but it's not to be missed if your up that way. If you're from SA, you're not a true south aussie until you've seen the bunyip!Ps. Go at night and it's actually pretty scary

Definitely a novelty attraction but if you missed it I dont think it would matter to most people. A mechanical working model of a mythical monster that inhabited billabongs(water hole) that when activated appears out of the floor making a roaring noise

This is a little treasure left over from long ago. Children love this sort of special visit, it is a fun thing to see and enjoy. A special spot for Murray Bridge. Enjoy the fun and the view, have a coffee or a picnic and sit back.

ozdivergt

Some kind of large model which sits underwater in a tunnel set up, until money is put into slot then the monster rises from the water to canned monster growls. Lasts a few minutes. Might entertain a kid for a second or two but really, is this the Murray Bridge riverside show piece?

Loved the atmosphere at the Bunyip. Such a family friendly environment. Well kept area, and a big playground.

It was fun and good value. People told me about this thing since I moved to Adelaide, so it was good to see first hand. Bring the children...and some spare clothing... Nah..its a bit of fun really..

I have seen the bunyip since I was little, and it's great every time! Although is a little old now, it's still worth $1 to see it rise!
