authenticity spa resort

A friend and I were given substantial vouchers here as a Christmas present. We booked in late January and sorted nearby accommodation only to be discover the day prior that the booking hadn't been confirmed their end. We rescheduled for a few weeks later, again staying overnight and received a call the morning of our booking to say a therapist was ill so we couldn't be accommodated! Again we rescheduled but I wasn't surprised that they called me the day prior with another hitch!!!My friend had travelled down ahead and fortunately was able to go and negotiate so we were, in fact, able to proceed the next day finally. On the day I started with a therapeutic massage. The male masseur was professional and experienced. It was wonderful and I didn't feel the least bit uncomfortable. My friend had booked a mani and pedicure spa. Unfortunately this was not the forte of the therapist appointed, so was not the great experience she expected. That therapist was most considerate and apologetic and as I was her next client, offered me any alternative treatment I liked, and offered my friend a mini facial to compensate. She was all too aware of the booking fiasco we had already endured. We both had lovely 2nd treatments and were offered coffees and a lovely salad lunch. At the end it was such a nice day and so relaxing around the pool that we decided to stay for another coffee and sweet treat. The cook was apologetic that they had no more bliss balls (the food is very natural and organic- absolutely delicious) but he decided to make us some especially!!We could not fault the hands on staff- attentive and professional, experienced and approachable. I do caution the management however. I had read some negative comments on this site prior to attending, and would have to back some of these comments. Customer service on first contact NEEDS improving. Lots of women like to come with a friend or two, so if its too difficult to accommodate this please let us know from the outset! Or better still, recognise this fact and sort your rosters out to allow for this, including having back up staff in case of absentees.Your 'hands on' staff (no pun intended!) including catering, are delightful, and understand customer service to a tee. Management would do well to watch and learn from them. An extra footnote: it would have been a lovely gesture to have offered our salad and drinks for gratis, due to the horrendous mis-starts we experienced. I would definitely be hesitant to prepay ( ie voucher) again.My 3 star rating was for my overall experience. The booking process gets 1 star and the actual treatments and food 4.5 stars.

I loved the food, accommodation, service, treatments. I just recommend that you try it if you want to relax, be pampered, and enjoy the best high quality healthy food!

Took overseas visitor for lunch several years ago and found the service terribly rude. The food serving was small and not value for the cost. It was a shame as the place and surroundngs are just lovely. Tried again recently November 2014. Took a friend and told her of my last experience there but said every place deserves a 2nd chance. Well unfortunately it lived up to the last experience. The little waitress was welcoming so was off to a good start but went all downhill from there. Ordered from the menu and then the chef appeared and took the menu from us saying it was no longer available and that we had slipped through the cracks to be there even though I had booked several weeks prior. He gave us a choice of 2 main meals to decide from. Of the two choices offered we only liked one and even so not really it was the best of the two. Then I asked why? After a long explanation magically we were offered what we had originally ordered. We had a Scoopon voucher and was bluntly and rudely told what did we expect for the price we were paying on the Scoopon Deal. The Chef/Waiter was rude. Twice bitten Twice shy. NEVER AGAIN. when I was telling some friends thay laughed as they also had purcahsed the Scoopon Deal and 4 of them went and they experienced the same rudeness from the same waiter.

My husband (not a romantic normally) found this spa retreat as a 60th birthday surprise. The most relaxing massage and time out from grandchildren was greatly appreciated. The staff were very friendly and the surroundings so peaceful and very "greek villa styled" to suit the theme of relaxation. The food was fresh and simply styled and very tasty. Loved the break !!!!!!!

Three of us enjoyed authenticity spa resort for an overnight stay. The staff right from the very start in reception made us feel very special and nothing was too much bother. We had a tour of the property then put our bags in our rooms and then onwards to a wonderful healthy lunch made with fresh ingredients. We paid to open a bottle of sparkling as it was a special birthday event. We then started our pamper packages with facials and manicures and massages. The afternoon just flew and we then were booked into dinner. Again the food was delicious and we had the most wonderful time. Our facials were amazing and the products used were fantastic. We looked a million dollars with no make up on for dinner that night !!! After dinner we had fun in the dining room and then headed up to our rooms for some catching up then used the spa bath then off to bed. We had the use of tea making facilities downstairs which was great late in the evening.Breakfast was superb again with fresh ingredients and freshly squeezed orange juice. We headed off at about 10 feeling so relaxed and newly invigorated for life. The atmosphere at the spa was so healing and spiritually fulfilling too. What wonderful spa resort we definitely will be back again

The moment you drive through the gates you enter another world where you can leave the world behind you for a time. The beautiful buildings, food and relaxed welcoming style of the management help to let go and enjoy the deeply peaceful atmosphere and discover all the health and well being benefits of the spa. It is worth taking lots of time to live at another slower healthier pace.

Vegetarian food which was excellent, couldn't fault it. I had the eggplant pasta which was so filling and yummy and my partner wanted to eat it. My partner had Jerusalem artichoke which he totally enjoyed also (but would have loved to have swapped with mine). We had the polenta wedges with dipping sauce, yummy. The meal was very filling and we would return.

My husband and u bought a $49 Scoopon for a three course dinner with some organic wine made from the grapes there and were very impressed. After not being able to find anyone when we first arrived, management quickly redeemed themselves with the amazing quality of the food and attentive but no invasive service. The building is just spectacular and the candle lit setting with gorgeous open fire place in the dinning room is something special. I would totally recommend dining here particularly if you have time to sit back a relax and soak up the beauty of this amazing house and atmosphere. We will definitely be back !

While Authenticity has all the potential for a great retreat the poor management style over rides all this potential. Despite booking all our appointments months in advance, they were changed on us when we arrived. While our treatments were good, they were cut short (really short!) due to their mistake and staff shortage. While this was Ok I was annoyed to then be charged full price. Upon complaining about this, my complaint was dealt with really poorly.I would not recommend Authenticity. They appear to be much more focused on your money than your experience. Port Elliot is such a great place, spend your money at better accommodation and source treatments from the locals where you will get the same quality treatments for half the price.
