uncover tasmania day tours

We undertook a 4 day personal tour of the East Coast with Uncover Tasmania Tours. Commencing in Deveport and ending in Hobart. The weather was excellent for touring a beautiful area. Michelle ,our driver/guide did an excellent job of the driving.The vehicle is extremely comfortable. However ( and I must add. We have had personal tours in many parts of the globe ..so consider ourselves reasonably aware of what to expect for an expensive service) once we arrived at our tourist destination/view point, Michelle would rush off , camera in hand, taking photos, and we were left mostly to fend for ourselves, reading the plaques etc to get an understanding of what we were viewing/visiting .Fortunately her husband, John, had come along on the trip and he did try and make up for it and kept us reasonably informed though obviously he was not an expert on the areas. The country is extremely beautiful and well worth spending time exploring. When you book overnight tours with them we would suggest you google the accommodation chosen beforehand. It was the Australia Day weekend so pretty busy and we ended up in some rather inferior accommodation for which Michelle apologised. (No reciprocal refund offered hehe). I have communicated with Michelle expressing our concerns and complimenting her on the better aspects of the tour, and she has assured me she will take these comments "on board". She is a delightful person and we are sure if she does take to "guiding" her guests in future you will have a wonderful experience in Tasmania. Give her the opportunity to dazzle you.
