This establishment offers far more than your averagel riding stables. It is not cheap but well worth the money. The staff of mainly young girls are carefully watched by the proprietor but all are pleasant, obliging and helpful. The stables are on a large property and offer a number of different trails rides. The rides are of varying lengths and you can even ride to the Megalong Valley Tea Rooms and back and have lunch. The staff also offer riding lessons from beginners to expert. They have a large number of horses and all are well cared for. This means they can provide a horse which is matched to the ability of each individual. I would thoroughly recommend this establishment for everyone from beginners to the more advanced riders.

7th review and the first negative. We have used Centennial Glen Stables in the past and the experience favourable but not so this time. Our son visited the stables today for a 90 minute ride with a friend which lasted less than 15 minutes due to a severe thunderstorm. They were charged by the owner $60 for the experience. We thought this a bit steep and not fair so called to discuss the matter. We found the owner to be quite abrupt and stated (multiple times) he was not in control of the weather and has a business to run. We certainly accept the business does not control the weather and neither does our son. So who should bear the risk of bad weather - in this case it seems the customer does to a significant degree. After some time going over the same ground, the owner conceded to a 10% discount for a return visit but the good will has been damaged and an 18 year old out of pocket.

Very impressed with the 'free reign' given to more intermediate riders. Josh the friendly guide let us trot and canter and made the trip very relaxing and enjoyable. I've visited a number of stables in the blue mountains and was very bored with the level of caution and warnings by the guides who were super-sensitive to anything they perceived as dangerous. Most only allowed customers to walk the horse behind the butt of the one in front, with no opportunity to trot or canter. They also group riders into big groups of strangers and there's always a Wally who can't stop his horse from eating the grass and slows down the group. This is not the case at Centennial glen stables. They hosted just the four of us with a guide for an hour and we had a great time. Will definitely visit again.

I have used Centennial Glen Stables many times over a number of years and I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and service. They are always very efficient, punctual, friendly, helpful and thoughtful.Jim who runs the business is fantastic! The horses are excellent, with specific horses chosen for particular riders' abilities and experience. Non-riders to experts are catered for.The trails taken are beautiful. Ranging from valley farmland to native bush, there are always some sort of native animals to be seen - maybe kangaroos, wallaroos, lizards, wombats, goannas, eagles! You never know.I have been to several horse riding stables in the Blue Mountains and Centennial Glen is the only one I would recommend now.

The surroundings are amazing to ride in. I went for a full-day trip and got given a horse that fitted my experience. The horses are very well taken care of, and most of them are rescued horses. It's great to see how the horses are treated, they don't stand in stables, but have a great space in the pasture, which they share with wild kangaroos. Perfect!

We had a lovely experience starting with excellent instructions on how to get there (hint: do not follow the satnav, but follow their SMS instructions instead!). Our leader Maddy was knowledgable and very friendly. She worked at the pace the guests wanted to go at, and at all times we felt welcome and safe. It was very well priced at $55 for an hour ride.

We visited the riding school in July and we had a great morning there! The children and grand children were taken care of and loved being out in the open fields. Very well run with kind and caring staff. Would most def do it again!!!

We went there for horseriding. Follow their directions which they text them to you and not the way the GPS wants to get you there

We took the long bumpy ride out to an amazing bustling stable. It was very busy and people and horses were coming and going. I spoke to a young woman who was kind and very helpful in squeezing our daughter into a pony ride. She had to run this past the "boss" who said he would take her out now. So he helped her put on her helmet and lifted her onto to a horse named "Spook" and off we went into the bush. We walked along as he carefully talked to the horse and our daughter. We were lucky and where able to see a few kangaroos pass through as we walked. The horses seemed well cared for and the staff went out of their way to serve us. We will be back for a Surry ride! There are dogs, birds, chickens, miniature horses, geese and donkeys. Don't miss this blue mountain must! Great spot, amazing views and fantastic staff.

We spent two days riding with centennial stables, we spent a day with Jim and a day with Rachael , both were so interesting and experienced, our horses were brilliant really well cared for . We rode to the tea rooms in the Megalong valley on day one and along the river the next . It was a real experience riding in the bush .Highly recommend the stables if you are in the area

This was a chance discovery. We were in Blue Mountains last weekend and rang them to see if we can come down for Horse riding and they immediately took booking for same afternoon and sent us direction with detailed text message on mobile. As others mentioned it is bit further away from Blackheath town and last 5 km are gravel road (reasonably good condition). We did have some difficulty finding the place even with GPS but contacted them on mobile and they promptly guided us further. Valley view is very nice and stables are well stocked with different horses and "sulky" for young children or people wanting gentle ride. We really enjoyed 1 hour ride and staff were courteous and helpful. They have baby goats and cattle so kids would love this place. Highly recommended !

Rode with them in August 2013. The stable is not on any GPS and quite a long drive from town but worth the trip. We followed the instructions given to us in an email. The ride was spectacularly beautiful, taking us through forested areas to open fields, a great way to see the bush in the Blue Mountains. Saw numerous kangaroos in the area and rode through a herd of cows.(Which kinda made me feel like a cattle wrangler) Really nice and peaceful just being surrounded by nature. Had a great riding experience.

Took a 2 hour ride with my wife and two kids. Made reservations by phone the night before and was texted directions to the stable....BTW the stable is a long way from the highway but worth the trip. We were greeted by Michelle who was more than gracious and attentive to our needs. The ride was spectacular! Hill and dale, field and trail....a great way to see the bush in the Blue Mountains. The horses were spirited and we had the chance to trot/run on a number of occasions. Saw numerous kangaroos in the area and multiple wombat dens. During one stop the kookaburras lit off into a laughing frenzy while adjustments were made with one of he horses. Hats off to our guide Michelle! Go here. Have a great riding experience.
