Set in a small park with plenty of parking the tourist office offers plenty of information on local and surrounding areas. The lady on duty was very helpful.

Easy to find in the main street and plenty of off street parking available. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the town, and there are the usual small souvenirs available for purchase. There's a separate room where you can view the Rusconi marble masterpiece - a model mansion made from almost 30,000 pieces of marble; costs about $10 for adults, $5 for seniors - interesting for a quick look.

A very helpful staff who were keen to promote the district and eager to point us in the right direction

Helpful staff. The home of the Rusconi’s Marble Masterpiece which has to be seen to be believed. Made out of 28,000 marble pieces over 28 years. Superb to see.

We called in to get some advice about the location of the caravan parks in Gundagai and if their was a dump point at the either of the parks, we were told that their was only one dump point in town and that was located at the old railway station a far drive away. When we arrived at the Top Tourist park in town we found that they had a dump point.. The lack of information and advice at the centre about the town was appalling.

This should be your first stop when in Gundagai. The staff were super friendly and helpful and made our visit even better than it would have been

Rusconi`s Marble Masterpiece: a marvel. Spend the few dollars to visit. Then when you travel to the Tumut Pioneer Cemetery, many of the marble headstones - numerous relatives of mine there! - he carved them! There are many cathedral and other church altars carved by the eminent Rusconi.

Check out the marble masterpiece as its something very unusal! Made from marble took a long time to make so its really worth a look!

We visited here for the Rusconis Marbleplace which had been billed as an extravaganza.Disappointment struck as soon as the door was opened to the marblepiece and the background audio begun to play. $3 per person and tucked away in a back room where no one else can see you.

pokey, messy, cluttered. Took a long time for service, yet no-one else was in there. The rusconi thing was tucked away in a back room. A very small space, but could be utilised better.

Staff were very helpful and provided a map to explore Gundagai. The walk highlighted on the map was about 2 kilometres although you had the option to take a detour to make the walk a little longer. Map covered most of the main historical attractions in Gundagai and was fairly straight forward. Rusconi's masterpiece is an amazing piece of craftmanship and testament to the dedication one man had over 28 years of his life to his passion.Suggest a good half day if you just wish to quickly view the attractions or a nice liesurely full day if you wish to spend a bit more time at each attraction.....all attractions are within walking distance if you are like me (48 and slightly overweight) and can be comfortably achieved. Good walking shoes and plenty of water are a necessity. After exploring Gundagai take a quick trip up to the lookouts...nothing too special but gives a good indication of where the town lays in regards to the mountains around it.

The best thing was seeing Rusconi's Masterpiece in marble. It is marvelous the work that went into making this piece of art.

The tourism centre was very helpful and provided me all relevant information about Tumut and surroundings which was very helpful to us to go and visit these places

Second longest bridge in Australia, although no longer in use, has incredible history, interesting to read about the history of the bridge, especially when I had no idea about the bridge or why it was named the Prince Alfred Bridge.Worth a visit.
