While we were passing through Narooma, we went in search of these rocks. We did not have time to walk along the beach to them but did see them from the road near the golf links. They looked amazing -a great pic. We drove down to the beach area as well and were able to see them closer. We went in search of the Glasshouse Rocks Lookout but did not find it on the Glasshouse Rocks Road which also goes to the cemetery close to the rocks

Took the trip to Narooma...plan...have fish and chips overlooking Montague Island. MMM not exactly a simple thing to do, there are no local restaurants or cafes that are close enough to make it worth while...nor any picnic areas that can be used to create your own relaxed space. It's a pity really, the town is interesting and the rocks and shoreline very reminiscent of Norfolk Island. Great day tho"

Wow, when you find the path down to this beach, it is a great walk. Make sure you go at low tide and then the rock pools are there to explore

When the tide is out, this is a great walk. Lots of rock pools to discover fish and crabs. The beach goes on for miles and miles

Great spot for sunrise photos - large swell and a lot of salt spray spoilt the shot on the 2 days I visited, but very scenic anyway.

There's little doubt that this is one of the most photogenic spots on the south coast. However it took me ages to find out how to actually get to the rocks. There's a smallish outcrop at the southern end of Surf Beach which you can easily get to by just walking down the beach. However the really interesting formations are another 800m down the coast and even at a very low tide you'd be hard pressed to find a way to them over the rocks. So, since it took me bloody ages to find out how to get here because nobody actually tells you - here's the deal. Firstly, ignore Google Maps telling you about Glasshouse Rocks lookout - there's nothing there but some scrub and no views. You'll need to park your car at the cemetery - don't worry, the residents are a quiet bunch. Then walk south around the perimeter of the graveyard past the little maintenance section until you see a white wooden fence. Walk to the end of the fence and then back along them on the other side and follow the track. After about 20m you'll see a fork to the left - take this fork and then follow the track to the right, down the hill. This will bring you out onto the beach which is otherwise inaccessible because it's surrounded by private land. Best views are at the very southern end where the large rock formations are. Go at sunrise and in summer to get the sun rising over the rocks.
