Hi Tania, there is a few things for me to look at with your review so thanks for that. Those not from a farming back ground see things differently than those of us who have spent our lives in that environment. An animal nursery will smell, animals smell none of those animals there or anywhere on the farm lack water, we control feeding and at different times remove water for the purposes of worming, they are watered each night and again in the mornings, every day. I will talk to our cleaner about fluff under beds but as a day visitor I don't know what you were doing in a lodge. I have know idea to whom you refer regard a couple showing their love for one another. My wife and I live here as do our farming manager and his wife none of us run around behaving like teenagers. We have plenty of couples & families visit us who on a daily basis express their love and respect for each other, long may it continue. This is a working farm the realities of daily life on a working farm is not every ones cup of tea.

Pleased we were able to give you a fun day full of experiences. There is a lot to do and hard to fit it in during a day visit. We don't claim to be a foodie place we do simple country meals and we do our best to do them well. What we can claim is the meat is ours the veggies come from next door (in season) our apple juice is from a friends orchard down the road as is the milk and yogurts although that is a breakfast offering so you're not going to sample them at lunch (might change things around so you can sample some local produce) It's the feedback that pushes ideas forward so thanks again, cheers.

Glad you all had some fun, we have so many things to do on the farm it is sometimes hard working out the best program for day visits. The meat that was consumed here was all ours and the neighbour grows our vegies so not too many 'food miles' at this place!

Hi thanks for your review although not a lot there for us in constructive criticism. Your review ends where we start, it's about the children and an opportunity for them to engage in country life. This place is not for everyone but on the whole our guests know they are coming to a working farm which happens to be heritage as well, we don't claim to be anything other than what we are, 3.5 star with the focus being on farming and children. Our staff need to be vigilant with food when it is being served outside I will remind them, flies do tend to feature in the country we do our best but can do better.. Our tariff is essentially split into thirds, this being activities (everyday 9.15am 4.30pm supervised) meals and accommodation so most people can see the value in that. The people that write the reviews are offering their interpretation of their experience and I would not be so presumptuous as to lessen the value of their opinion and nor would I yours. There are so many experiences on offer and at our disposal that we each find our likes but not each or every time.

Hi David, glad you had a great time, as do we when we have guests like yourself who engage with what we do and what we are passionate about. We think it works well having our daily program running 9.15am to 4.30pm as we say you can do as much or as little as you like. Young children need a break during the day ( sometimes we need one!) so we spread things out. If the children are happy, parents are happy! Thanks again and safe travels.
