Queens Park is a lovely place to visit. There is a lot to see and do. There is also a lovely wildlife zoo with native birds and animals that is free to enter - gold coin donation. It's quite large and the enclosures are well maintained and animals well-looked after. Nice day out in Ipswich.

Queens Park Ipswich and the adjoining Nerima Gardens is a beautiful setting for a day out for the family. The play equipment has been upgraded to suit all ages, the animal enclosure is a hit with all ages as well. Plenty of shady picnic spots or bbqs or a great kiosk if you chose to buy. (just check opening hours). The lookout is worth the walk.

Wonderful children's playground. Free animal exhibit which is first class. Picnic areas under huge shady trees. Japanese gardens again free. Fantastic day out.

Always a winner for any occasion. Birthdays, parties, or just a catch up with friends, and kids love playing on the equipment. Always clean and tidy too

queen's park has been there forever and they have upgraded the animal park in the last coupleof years, its free you can take your kids around the to see Australian animals for nothing, they also have a new visitors centre, which has information about everything in and around Ipswich, across the road form the animal park is a huge playground for all ages, has bbqs and also a kiosk as well, great free fun

During school holidays I usually plan one day with the grandkids to Queens Park. Free zoo and home packed picnic makes fort a cheap fun day out. The playground has given our family countless hours of fun.

I may be wrong but where else could you get the range of "FREE" things to do in a great environment and with easy free parking. I think it exceeds expectations for the size of the city. I have been going there for 57years. Queens park gives a great range of activities; free Nature Centre (small zoo) with some unique Aussie animals. Nerima Japanese garden very close by (free). Large play grounds. historical buildings, stone roads and open air Chapel. Restaurant on site for casual visits and functions and is very relaxing. And no! not advertising for anyone.

Nestled right beside the city of Ipswich Australia is the magical Queens Park gardens. Very well maintained with animal nursery, Japanese garden and lots of free roaming local animals. We spotted water dragons, butterflies galore, lorikeets, ducks, the good old Australian Spider. Basically a normal gathering of Australian Bush critters and wildlife. Yep even kangaroos in the wildlife enclosure. Fantastic for the photographer, family outing, romantic wander or relaxing place to sleep under the ancient trees that dot the park.

This is a nice park with a good playground for kids to play in. There's plenty of space where you can put your picnic rug and just relax. They have a small zoo but enough for kids to enjoy. The Japanese garden is very beautiful and relaxing, very zen-like.

Shady, well set out parkland with plenty of things on offer from simple shade and picnic areas to restaurant and lots of play areas for the kids.

We took our 2 and 4 year old grandchildren to see the animals at the free zoo at Queens Park. It was a lovely outing and they particularly liked the bilby area. The zoo was very clean and the animals were well set out. What a lovely offering in a most beautiful park. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in the gorgeous grounds afterwards.

queens park is a gem, from its Japanese garden to the free mini zoo with Bilbys. The children's playground is fantasic and fun for the whole family. The cafe is a clean and modern building but still blends in the the park, however the food is so so but that's normal for these places.

Great playground - although it does need a little TLC at the moment to fix up some of the tattered edges. Excellent kiosk. And great to walk through the wildlife park there too. Thoroughly relaxing.
