Easy travelling over to the island. Very well run which makes travelling a pleasure. Quite economical too.

Stradbroke Ferries have 2 great barges that travel to Stradbroke Island with sit down and enjoy the view on the way over upstairs in their coffee lounges. they have food so if you don't have time to eat before getting on board you can grab a bit upstairs. Enjoy the trip :)

The ferry guys were so helpful getting on and off the ferry and very polite as well. They were on time and took care and consideration with our car.

We recently travelled to Straddie. We experienced great service and enjoyed the trip over to there. Such beautiful scenery of the Bay.The Big Red Cat is quite amazing! Hard to believe it can fit all modes of transport, with so little effort! The ladies in the cafe were very friendly and we enjoyed our yummy coffees.

We walked on to the Red Cat ferry, and took the bus to Point Lookout, Stradbroke Island.$20 return the whole trip each. Great value for lovely beaches, restaurants and clean, clear water.

We used the ferry to go to Stradbroke earlier this year. We booked on line without a problem. It leaves from Cleveland and goes to Dunwich. There is parking at the terminal if you are going over for the day without the car. But, we found it almost impossible to get accommodation in Cleveland or the surrounding area the night before. If I did it again, I would plan to drive to the terminal the same day the ferry leaves. The ferry is fine and they cram the card in but you can get out and go and have a coffee and some snacks upstairs. If you are going without a car, you can usually purchase your ticket on the day. The ferries leave about every hour all year round but the timetable is posted on the net. The Island is great to visit and stay. There are good holiday rentals available but book early if its Christmas. Have fun.

A long established company providing access to the many islands of Moreton Bay, it is the ONLY way to do so, no bridges or competition so that means BIG PRICES for a return trip of .... Ouch... $143.00!!!This includes the standard car and driver with and extra $3 per passenger (refundable if booked on the Internet).Pensioners can get the return trip for about $112.00.Grossly overpriced but you don't have a choice! It's the ferry or swim! The check in drill is nuts because after you follow the "all ferry" entry sign, get in line, you are then advised to back out, go for a snakes and ladders tour over a faint blue line through the chock a block car park, check in at the Red Cat drive through, get a boarding pass and then back to pretty well where you were before?Nuts! OK for the locals but a crazy system to the drive on system it used to be!The ferries are nicely set out upstairs with very comfy chairs tables, a nice selection of drinks and hot food, drinks and coffee. All served by ONE over stressed girl who does everything including the always-slow coffee dispensing that really slows the service down. Still your not in a hurry so who cares? The comfy trip takes 45 minutes to Dunwich on Stradbroke Island and the well rehearsed entry and exit procedures from the ferry are no problem!Nice trip, nice ferries, nice service but far, far too expensive for me!

Our trip to Straddie over the long weekend was made even better by the great service offered by the staff, although we where confirmed on a late departure from Cleveland, we had hours to kill so decided to go hang out ferry ramp, they offered us a waitlist which saw us get to our camp site hours earlier than expected, Thank you Straddie ferries.

The trip to Stradbroke Island was a last minute decision to give an interstate visitor a tour and to see more of the local sighjts since my recent move to Brisbane. We didn't book online but turned up and bought our tickets from very friendly counter staff the day before. From when we turned up the next morning all went smoothly, we drove on board and then made our way to the lounge/cafe where the chairs and tables lined the large windows and allowed us to enjoy the view in air-conditioned comfort. Toilets were clean and the coffee was good. Would have liked to see some signs asking children not to run as I almost tripped over two as many ran around the fairly confined space. The ferry staff were quick to get the ferry docked, the ramps down and get the cars on and off.

I was impressed with our first ever vehicle ferry trip to North Stradbroke island. I found it well organised for booking, embarking and disembarking. The office and booking staff were professional and friendly, and when we arrived early to return to Cleveland even recommended the standby service (which I hadn't heard about). We queued and booked for the standby service back to Cleveland and managed to get home 2 hours earlier than planned. Excellent.

Ive lived in brisbane for 16yrs and can't believe it's taken this long to visit North Straddie.. What a lovely Island... Beautiful beaches, friendly locals... And all this at our doorstep. The ferry was a nice short trip and you can take your car over too. inside the cabin you can sit and enjoy the views with a coffee n snack if you choose or stay in your car. . highly recommend

This ferry service (and Big Red Cat) are the main vehicle ferries to North Stradbroke Island. The ferry was on time, the loading of vehicles took less than 10 minutes, and that included those towing caravans, and a couple of large trucks. Not really cheap ($140 for a return journey for an SUV), but I felt safe the entire time. There is a cafe on board, though didn't check this out as we had our dog with us. Which is a plus - dogs are allowed on the ferry. Book ahead, especially at peak times.

Just a short trip 5 min but the staff made getting on and off in rough seas easy, the vessel was comfortable and smooth in the rough conditions..
