if staying at the Somerset holiday park the Hotel has a courtesy but available to take you in and bring you back the driver (lady) sorry forgot your name but she was great fun and a great meal.(but wouldn't stay at the park again)

Stayed at nearby Lake Somerset and had lunch with friends at this lovely old pub. 3 of us had crumbed steak with chips and salad (only $9.95!!!) and the other had Rump steak, all delicious and great value. Has a nice verandah where you can eat and watch the lorikeets enjoying their lunch in the beautiful flowering trees over the road. Service is friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend if you are in the Kilcoy area.

Nice old country pub, excellent meals for reasonably money. Great range of beers on tap & in bottles. Kid friendly beer garden. We are here at least once a month.

A local friend recommended this and a camping hotel. My wife chose this one. She was afraid to eat stating that this was a classic "Ramsey's Nightmare" candidate. We ate there, the food was edible, (fried rice and 200g rump) but a bit overcooked. The staff was nice and very helpful, but that does not make up for the old, worn outdoor facilities. (My wife avoided the woman's facilities)If you love camping, this is camping within a building. Originally built in 1903, last remodeled, before I was born....

A group of us stayed here for one night. It is a large traditional old Queensland pub but the rooms need were far from standard. This place needs large cash investment to raise this beautiful old pub into what it should be. The beds were old and dated. There was only one shower to share amongst the rooms. One for males and one for females.If you are looking for a very very back to basics accommodation that is cheaper than chips than this is the place to stay.

A traditional large country pub but with a friendly ambience and an extensive menu choice from Atlantic Kilcoy salmon to steaks. Good value portions for mid twenty dollars with a rump for under $20.Dining is in sepaerate area to main pub with a verandah option.Pool tables in bar and a beer garden out the back for summer evenings.

The food here is excellent a cut above the usual pub meal.The service is friendly and efficient there were four of us for dinner and all enjoyed our meals.

Great example of a country pub. I had a steak which was excellent. Cold beer and good atmosphere. Stayed upstairs and we had a round of golf and spent some time swimming at Lake Somerset.
