Good park although it was very hot, with limited shade cover, great range of kickers. Good staff, be sure to be sun smart because it's easy to get fried here !!!
We took part in the sky rail and saw the aqua park from above. After a disappointing and expensive trip on the sky rail at to Kuranda we decided to try the rails at the aqua park. Staff were friendly, park wasn't very busy and had a great time.
I've been to numerous cables around the world and worked at one of the best in Europe, this is definitely up there with the better cables and is one of the best I've seen in terms of overall layout and facilities. Staff were all very friendly and patient with the beginners, but during busy times on the Sunday operators could have been more efficient to reduce the big line (i understand the cable is old, but the queue could have been managed better). Loads of kickers and rails (some of which have seen better days) with something for everyone from beginner to pro. Location is stunning, probably the best backdrop of any cable I've ever seen and additional facilities such as bbq, inflatables, lounges etc were all excellent. Very good value for money compared to other cables and super easy to get to from cairns. Will definitely be back again soon.
Good for a tourist but not locals plus bring your lunch, I got a hotdog that had just been thrown in the microwave and was inedible, tried it out on my son who eats anything but he couldn't stomach it either a, terrible...
Took our nephews to the cable ski park and had a go myself, great value on the two hour pre-booked session. The instructions from Sam were great he was able to help everybody from beginners to pros without missing a beat and giving everybody attention. I took a while to get going on the kneeboard and really appreciated the help. Get fit get wet and have fun
Well worth the money, all the family had a great time. We couldn't work out if we ached so much from laughing or the falls we had.If prices were reasonable, amenities were good, would recommend it to everybody.Had a little trouble finding it tucked away beside Skyrail, didn't realise we had to use their car park to get to the Cable Ski Park
Fantastic fun for the family. Shame we ached so much the next day or we would have been back then left Cairns. Recommend. Will be back !
Cable Ski Cairns is a great place to go if you want to go skiing or wake boarding but don't have the equipment or boat to do it. Quite cheap actually for the amount of time you spend on the boards! Great fun and everyone can do it!!!! Love Cable ski can't wait to go again!
Have been here a couple of times now and it so much fun. Staff is always nice and really laidback. Love it!
This is the most amazing experience. We loved every bit of it. Great price and so much to see and do. Takes you up to Kuranda. So much flexibility with the time of travel. GREAT!!!!!
Thanks for your review David. Our attraction has always offered local's specials, including memberships deals focused on our local clientele - memberships work out to be from $4 per day. Our prices have been the same since opening 10 years ago, as we value the support and loyalty of locals very much.
This place is awesome. After having a really hard time with skiing behind a boat, I was really apprehensive to try knee and wake boarding. However, the staff were so great and helpful, I was able to get up on my first try and hey helped me to improve every time. 2 hours is plenty especially if you are not experienced...you'll be tired about 1.5hrs in. Accessible by public transit...very close to Kuranda Sky Rail. Also a spot for watching, concession and change room. Worth the money and experience!
Having not done any water skiing or the like for over 20 years, I found the cable ski exciting. The attendant gave helpful tips when I fell off and I soon found my balance and had a wonderful time.
Great attraction! two teen daughters wanted to learn wake boarding after a few tries behind family boat. Staff were very friendly and very helpful with how to improve. We went for 1 hour session and left very happy, much improved skills, but tired and sore as not that fit. Seemed that local "experts" came after work at about 5pm for afternoon fun, so best to get your session in before then.We shall be back, once our weary muscles have recovered.PS the hot chips were awesome from the snack bar.Overall great value for money and can fit in with other activities
My husband and two sons (aged 13 and 10) gave it a go for an hour, which is not long enough especially if it is your first time. They had a ball but the youngest kept coming off on the first turn, which meant a long walk back to the start. The operator was full of advise and support for them knowing it was their first time and the experienced wake boarders who I think had some connection to the park were quick to move aside for others.Had we lived in Cairns, I would have purchased memberships for them but since it was a quick holiday, we had too much to see and do to spend a great deal of time here.We paid about $106 (which included a bottle of water in the price) for 1 hour for the three of them. I thought this was a bit pricey but they all had fun and it is a holiday, so I suppose you can't really complain. If we ever go back to Cairns, I know they will want to go again but maybe for a day next time.
