paradise falls

Beautiful spot, good road, easy to find, nice walk on formed steps to lookout and detour off path to get to the bottom of the huge rock overhang.Looks like wave rock and in spring or after rains would have a great gushing waterfall, In summer it was a pretty shower that looked like liquid silver coming through the sunlight.

I visited Paradise Falls in mid-August and found two very long and slender falls coming off a cavernous overhang that on close inspection was embedded with millions and millions of marine rocks and small stone which fascinated me. Very well graded stepped walk to the falls over some 5-7 minutes with a close call for the head on a sharp pinch where part of the cliff is waiting to dong the unwary! Very, very atmospheric experience standing directly behind one or both of the falls as they thunder down on rocks. Huge opportunities for creative and studious photography (why else would I have gone there!?;-) ) and just sitting behind the falls and contemplating nature.
