spring creek horse rides

I stayed at Spring Creek Horse Riding and Accom with my family in January, it was amazing. The little cottage we stayed in slept 10 there were 7 of us and I think that would be enough as there really wasn't enough couches to go around to relax on to watch tele, there were lots of dining chairs. The cottage is away from everything and it is pet friendly which we loved as we had two dogs with us, they had a ball running around in the open spaces. There is even a little pen for them at the side of the cottage for you to put them in, they are allowed inside if that is what they are used to.The other thing that we loved were the horses, they were in the paddock next to us, they got a lot of pats and a lot of carrots kept disappearing and being feed to them. We also went for a horse ride, my grandson who is 8 really wanted to go for a ride but was a little apprehensive, the owner really looked after him but he didn't go, the owner offered for him to come over before the horse rides and be lead around until he felt safe. Which I thought was beyond what he had to do for us. There is lost of wild life around such as Kangaroos, Koalas ect. The facilities are all excellent, you need to take your own bedding, towels and teatowels. There are two fridges, very handy. The Cottage is rustic but very clean. Take some flyspray as you may need it. Unfortunately when we were there the vaccumm cleaner was not very good and the toaster did not work but I am sure they have fixed that.So if you want to get away from it all (limited phone reception) and just relax I recommend this place, we all loved it and kids and dogs have a ball there. It is only about 20min into Torquay

Stayed here for a weekend and loved the tranquility. Deb and Noel were lovely. Loved going horse riding in the afternoon and lighting the fire at night. Would recommend to anyone who wants to escape to the wilderness and enjoy some rustic, country accommodation.

The cabin was clean, comfortable, and just as pictured. The out look was so peaceful and I fell in love with the place. Very freindly people who go out of there way to look after you at the cabin. i would love to go stay for a week. On the down side - I did warn the owner my three daughters were beginner horse riders - and on a two hour ride two of the three were thrown - a first for them both. So I could not recommend the riding to inexperienced people at all.

The land is nice and beautiful. On our trail 2 people fell off and some of the horses weren't really safe. One staff member went off in the middle of the ride and 2 minutes later it was so chaotic with people falling off, and horses running everywhere and just one staff member was there to help 11 people! I enjoyed myself but I know that some others didn't. A great place to go if you are a bit experienced. Some really good beginner horses too.

I really like it here I got along really well with the main girl kat she is really good with managing groups and taking trail rides. The horses are beautiful and they appreciate it when you want to do your own thing that's if you know how to ride. Great place and great fun!!
