We did the walk from Cape Bridgewater to the seal colony in March 2015. It takes around 1 hour each way, plus extra time to watch the seals or rest along the way. The track has some steps and steep bits, but it is not too strenuous. There are good views along the way as the track winds its way along the edge of the headland. At the end are several observation platforms that give a good view of the seal colony from above. The seals are visible with naked eye, but if you have a pair of binoculars, bring it along.Overall, a great walk.

We walked the Cape Bridgewater seal walk today, despite the wet start we were lucky with the weather and the seals put on a fantastic display. Would recommend this walk to anyone in the area.

This walk is worthwhile, but wear good walking shoes as one of the hills is a bit steep on the way back. Un crowded, lots of seals, 2.5 km walk to viewing platform, a bit hilly, but fantastic views. Check to see if there are whales in the Bay fir an extra thrill. Take water with you or you will struggle on the way back if it's a warm day.

We headed out early morning on the walk which takes about 2 hours. The track along and over the top of the cliffs is open to the elements so dress accordingly. The track goes up and down but there aren't many steps and is ok for people of reasonable fitness. The viewing platform is high up above the rock platforms where the seals are so take binoculars or a good zoom lens for your camera if you want to see things up close. The modern wind turbines in the background add a fascinating dimension to the natural surroundings.

We discovered Cape Bridgewater by accident whilst on a Great Ocean Road adventure, and it was a most fortuitous accident. The weather on the day was absolutely perfect - blue skies, gentle breeze, crystal clear water and the rolling green hills of the Cape. My wife and I headed out on the walk to the point, partly to see the fur seals but mostly to take advantage of the awesome views from every single vantage point on the 2.5 kilometres out, and the 2.5 kilometres back. The walk was a good test of fitness, but worth every step. I would love to return one day to walk the endless unspoilt beaches, surf the freezing waters. and paraglide the dunes.

A reasonable length walk of about 8km from the Blowholes carpark to Bridgewater town. Takes you all the way around the cape to the lookout over the seal colony, and back down to the cafe. Highly recommend doing this walk in the morning and dropping by the cafe for lunch. I'd rate the walk as easy, the terrain is fairly flat and even. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, the views are spectacular.

Good walk with fantastic view of the cliff edges, natural vegetation, farmland and wind farm as the backdrop. Well maintained walk which includes "the highest coastal cliff in victoria at 130m above sea level". Three different viewing platforms to look down at the two different colony of seals which do not like to mix. Remember to walk all the way to the bridgewater lookout so you don't miss both colonies.Didn't get the best weather when we made the walk (was raining) but did see the seals and had a good workout. Well recommended.

A fantastic walk from Cape Bridgewater beach into natural vegetation and cliffside wilderness. The lookout over the seal colony is well maintained and informative. Two colonies of fur seals - New Zealand Fur Seals and Cape Fur Seals occupy different rocky outcrops but can all be seen clearly with pups playing in the water. A lot of other wildlfie here too, including penguins, wallabies, kangaroos and many other bird species. The walk continues right around the headland. Whales can be seen in the season (Blue whales and southern right whales). Perfect morning or afternoon trek.
