We enjoyed their specialty pie....beef & beer pie. They make it on the premises. Huge portion with real chunks of meat. Oh, the beer was pretty good too!
A Micro brewery!Your going to find a beer you like here.Nice old looks like 80's furniture. great out the front near the lake, fishing , playground , picnic area , great place for a few beers or rock up in your boat ! Cricket on the lawn.
Dated and tired looking, menu needs updating, staff were nice and friendly. Have been to many breweries, Coldstream, White Rabbit, Mateos, and Bright, so perhaps our expectations were a little high.
Sat down to a few little samples of beer with bread cheese nice quiet wasntba tour like normal brewery but were were later in the day
Well, My Wife and I arrived at Jamiesons after a drive from Eildon on a wet Monday afternoon - as soon as we pulled into the carpark the sun came out!! We went in and where greeted by a young Gent with a smile on his face. We informed him of our drive and asked about the possiability of Lunch (we were the only folk there...) "Sure, no problem, come this way... " and he showed us to a table. Lunch was Fab - chicken, fries, fresh salad and the best beer this Kiwi has tasted since arriving here 13 years ago... Absolutely Excellent!!Already planning a road trip back... 10/10P.S. Read the framed notice placed on the wall concerning the Y in the Road... a ripper of a yarn.
In Jamieson for the weekend and thought we would try the Brewery instead of going to our usual dinner destination. We had a group of about 25 so booked early with no problem. On arrival found they had set an area aside for us. The bar was warm and the staff were welcoming. After warming ourselves around the fire we ordered dinner and sat down to enjoy some of the great beer they make at the brewery. Dinner was brought to the table in good time considering the large order and the consensus was that the food was great. I can highly recommend the beef and beer pie. Back here next time we are in the area.
Hidden away this brewery felt more like a local pub than a brewery. We arrived about 15 minutes before food service was to finish and even though the chef was cleaning up, he still cooked us up great pub meals (loved the veggie lasagne)! The beer was great and the guy behind the bar serving us was really friendly and went through all the different beers in great detail.Worth a visit and a beer if you are in the area.
This little Craftbeer brewery and bistro is nestled alongside the Goulburn Arm of Lake Eildon. Recently this has been a lake, but more often a lovely trout stream. The beer made at the Jamieson Brewery is very tasty. The Raspberry Ale and The Beast being my favourites. The bistro has good solid county pub meals. Jamieson and the brewery is well worth a visit.
After years of visiting here regularly we can no longer come here after Sundays experience. The most appalling kids meal was presented to me, when I queried it I was told it was a regular child's portion. Regular if your child is a two year old. When I complained I was offered a refund! Because what would help more than a ramekin sized portion of food served with 7 chips would be no food at all! This was followed by the manageress being too busy to see us until we were leaving and to top it all off the staff at the counter lying about my complaint to her.Little did the manageress know she had already encountered our group during a bar service when we asked for water for the kids. Response was that the water is from the lake and we should buy bottled water. Wow, in breach of the law ( making a separate complaint there). Since 2010 licensed venues that supply alcohol for consumption on-site are required to provide free drinking water to their patrons. We were going to this place when the lake was down and it was quiet. Obviously times are good here, kids portions are one quarter an adult portion, no longer served with salad. For half the price of an adult serving. New Jamieson Brewery moto must be to extort from the customer as much as possible while giving as little as possible.
My husband and I stopped here to sample the beer and enjoy a meal. The tasting paddle was a great way to sample their beers ($18 for six), though we found that their beers didn't taste quite as good in the bottle!!! Our meals arrived promptly and were very tasty; good value for the price and lovely fresh produce. The atmosphere inside is perhaps a little lacking, but you can see how it would be nice to sit outside in warmer weather and enjoy the view. Our service was prompt, but as it got busier there were quite a few people waiting to order etc.
Old pub on edge of Eildon lake. Meals were average, I had minestrone soup , partner had chicken snitzel. Average prices. Brewery produces beers to taste , buy and takeaway. Friendly staff. Brewery not in action when we were there on a weekend.
We travelled a long way on a long and winding road for miles in the quest for the promised home-style beer with picture perfect presentation but was left sadly lacking and FLAT. Although we did enjoy the raspberry beer!
This was my 3rd visit, we love it. The girls love the fudge and I enjoy the Beer. We always purchase 3 packs of fudge to take home.
This brewery overlooks the Jamieson River, perfect location, nice beer, if staying in the area definitely worth the drive
My wife and i have been here before and liked it last time, so we thought we'd try it again. In all, it was still good (I give 4 pub relative stars). The beer we drank, a french style, was superb and the meals were pretty good too. I would say that my garlic prawns could have been a bit more flavoursome, and the rice was a little overcooked, but this is me in pedant mode. Everyone else was happy enough.
