This is arguably the best community-built children's playground in Victoria, if not Australia. My grandbabies had a terrific time playing with other kids and parents, and trying the many attractions. This is a wonderful example of an entire community banding together to produce a safe and adventurous playground built to suit children from toddlers to upper Primary School age. It was terrific to see all parents keeping a close eye, not just on their own kids, but helping others out as well. Attractions include miniature shopfronts provided by local establishments as well as a princess castle, a rainforest, and a rope mountain for the older and more adventurous. It is very different to the mundane plastic playgrounds that so many councils are now installing. A miniature veggie shop and auto-teller were of particular interest to Miss Two. while Miss Three loved the climbing walls, purpose built for various ages. Plenty of seating for exhausted parents (and grandparents), and a number of options to purchase food just a short walk away.A quiet walk through the forest to find hidden sculptures of bush animals was a treat to complete our visit, with daily refrains from that point on 'can we please go back to the playground.' We spent three hours a visit there, just long enough to wear Miss Two out for a nap afterwards. A perfect place to visit for young families prior to heading off for an afternoon of strawberry-picking, bush-walking, cafe-visiting, or the many other attractions which make the Dandenongs such a great place to visit.
This is an amazing playground. All the four kids (aged 6-12) loved it - couldn't get them off. Even the enticement of a hot chocolate at the nearby chocolate shop was a hard sell. It is a tribute to all the volunteers of the local community who built this playground.
Great place for family. Fun for little kids. The best playground next to the best chocolate shop. What more do you want?
Our grandchildren are very active and they loved this playground when we visited. They could do lots of climbing and there were things for the younger children too. There were a few tables and chairs but probably not enough for busy times. The toilets were nearby but I would accompany a child to the toilets. For adults wanting coffee the shops are fairly close by.

Thanks for the feedback. We think it is well worth a family visit no matter where you are from. Good old fashion fun in the outdoors, with plenty of options to stimulate play.
