Well, what can I say. This is a fantastic place to take family and friends. I love this market. You not only get quality food but a great selection of crafts. It is similar to the Flemington Night Market but we normally make a day of it. There is a small fee for parking but if you get there early and we normally get there before 8am, you can be assured of a good spot. Take your own bags and comfortable shoes. Its nice to just walk around, take your time, and taste and talk to the vendors. We have so much fun. The locals are pleasant and keen to talk about their products. Good variety of food, crafts and sometimes they have nursery animals to keep the children occupied. All in all, a fantastic day out for family or friends to spend a few hours. When the market closes, you can always go down to the wineries for a nice drink or just take the scenic route back to the city and suburbs. I would recommend this lovely summer farmers market to all. The quality of products at this market was high. There was no rubbish. We were pleased to see things that we hadn't seen before at previous markets. We were able to park in the shade, which was fabulous on a stinking hot day. This market was a very pleasant morning outing.

Went to this market in November and December and it poured both times. It pays to wear sturdy shoes and take an umbrella as it gets very muddy in the wet.Parking is $4 and I find it best to either get there at 8 for a good park or get there later towards the end 1130 on.I find this market to be the biggest and best of the markets run by Craft Markets Australia. There is always a good variety of food and craft items. There is often a few wineries and cider places with stands, offering free tastings and good deals. My favorite stall is the Red Hill Mud cake stand, small cake and sauce for $10. The cherries are in season now too and are fresh and good value. This is definitely worth the trip down and you can make a day of it out on the Peninsula.

Loved it wish I had more room in my bag. Love to go back. Only problem on wet days a bit muddy so wear comfy shoes!

We have been going to various markets throughout Victoria for the past 10 years and find the Craft Market ones to be the best, particularly when it's held at Red Hill. Firstly, the location at Mornington Region is fabulous and it is easy to get there via Eastlink, at 7 in the morning. Stall holders can only sell things that they have grown or made themselves - it shows. Parking ($4 to Lions) is very well organised & plentiful. There are so many stall selling beautiful things. I love calamari & will always get a cone ($12.50 each) when we are there, and the fresh lemonade. Everyone whom we have taken for a visit all love it - rain or shine. Grounds can get muddy when it rains - best to wear gum boots, especially in yesterday's (6/12) downpour. We love it! Enjoy when u get there. 1st Sat of the month (closed in winter only) with a twilight market coming up closer to Christmas. :-)

I have been to this market twice and twice it has poured with rain so please take an umbrella!I travelled along Eastink and took the Portsea exit and followed all the road signs leading me to Red Hill - it was really easy AND easy in reverse. I arrived at 8:30 and paid my $4 for parking of which there is plenty. During my first visit back in April I was disappointed that many of the sellers were selling jams, it was just too much but today's visit saw a much better variety of goods on offer including xmas related foods like puddings, gingerbread etc. There are a couple of vendors selling gorgeous roses and seedlings, there is old fashioned hard boiled lollies, soaps, outdoor wooden goods, fudge, wines, today had plenty of cherries/raspberries YUM - a bit of everything with some under permanent cover and others hiding under gazebos. The ground can get very wet and mucky so wear good shoes if raining. There is a huge selection of food vendors for a special lunch from gourmet pies, calamari and yummy chicken kebabs. It has a lovely friendly atmosphere and it is worth exploring the area further if you have time. There were a few visitors in wheelchairs.

Nice little market, but get in early as the parking can be difficult. Good little craft market, plenty of things to sample and buy. if you can, visit around cherry growing season (summer) and head down the road to the cherry farm. Whilst in the area visit the cheese factory down the road too.

A large market that has a large range of food and hand crafts. Like most markets, visit when the weather is sunny as there are more stores and people around.

If you are on the peninsula definitely visit this market. Great produce and hand-made goods. Very busy but parking is organised well. Get there early. No dogs allowed, which we had forgotten!

Great food, preserves, clothing , jewellery ... Lots of good ideas for low price Christmas presents .. Eg Kris kringle ... Great parking and facilities. Bought apples, pears and good seasonal produce. You can buy sausages for your dinner ... Or a falafel for lunch. I bought a magnificent silk scarf ...worth an outing if you live in the city centre.

This is by far the BEST community arts/craft market I have ever been to. And what a great atmosphere! Store owners were all super friendly, not at all pushy and just seemed genuinely happy to see you there. Absolutely adore this place... the location, the atmosphere, the views, the delicious gourmet food stores, the huge variety of wonderful arty/crafty goods, the coffee! And the people - the locals, the sellers, the buskers, the parking guides all making for a wonderful experience. Was talking out loud when arriving in car park area saying to my daughter..."now where did we park the car...that's the big question!"..and a parking guide overheard and advised me where my car was....Howzat for service! Of course I wouldn't recommend you expect this :). My advice - if you're anything like me - i.e. you love to check out just about every store - allow 3-4 hours.

One of the best known community markets in Melbourne which always attracts a huge number of people due to the variety of food, arts and crafts displayed and on sale

It was different from the normal market with many different things to most markets we had a great stroll through this quirky market and loved the stuff we brought

Great community spirit with great food and coffee. Can get really busy especially if the weather is good so arrive early.
