An oasis on Phillip island, beautifully maintained, educational but entertaining presentations, informative staff and lovely animals! The location is unrivalled and the views spectacular. The old houses and kitchen garden were fascinating and lovingly preserved! Kids and adults loved every minute of this relaxing experience!

This was one of many stops on a bus tour we did ending at the Penguin Walk. The farm is great fun for the family, the kids will love it. You get to see how dogs herd sheep, see a sheep sheared, view an old farm house and see many animals.

It is tiny little Island with lot of wonders. If you are planning to go check the times for activities. usually all activities starts at 2 Pm. Very informative and friendly staff. Good maintenance of the island and really a must place go for young children.

Minnie5757

Hi Minnie5757Thankyou for your visit to Churchill Island and for taking the time to write a review. It is disappointing that the sign had not been removed from the previous day's craft activities. We are constantly seeking to improve the service we offer and so this feedback has been passed on to the team at Churchill Island to ensure that we do everything possible to enhance your experience. In addition to the farm activity demonstrations offered in the afternoon, Churchill Island also has a wonderfully restored 1850's homestead and original farm cottages, heritage gardens, walking trails, wallabies, baby animal nursery and working farm animals, not to mention Gregory the resident peacock who doesn't mind showing his beautiful plumage, so there should be plenty to see and do during your visit.Once again, thankyou for your visit and your review of Churchill Island.Kind regardsPhillip Island Nature Parks

We took our 4 year old there and she loved it. The homestead is very interesting but not surprisingly she loved milking the cow the most! Sheep shearing and a cattle mustering display with a very gorgeous 3 year old border collie named Billy. My husband even had a go at whip cracking. Nothing starts until 1.00pm so makes for a lovely afternoon. Lovely cafe with great views to end the day...

Churchill Island Farm House and outer buildings were great. Unfortunately we got there too early and none of the activities start till about 1pm. And wasn't enough to do to wait around.

givethegirlabreak

visited early this week when temperatures were soaring so went first thing in morning (10am) only to discover that demonstrations (shearing, milking, wagon rides etc) did not occur until after 1 pm- we were out early to avoid heat. Lovely to stroll around and had a lovely coffee and cake at the cafe.

On every last Saturday of the month during the year as well as every Saturday during January Churchill Island puts on a Farmers Market. You can get fantastic fresh produce for the region, from veggies and fruit to local cheeses and variety of other foods. My family try to get there few times a year and as yet we haven't been disappointed. My kids love the food stalls where they can try all sorts of things they normally would not have as well as their favourite little pancakes with assortment of toppings. If you want some fresh produce or simply have a great morning out and enjoy the market and some amazing views this is the place to be. Coffee in the local cafe is also quite good.

Nevertheless, we have passed on your feedback to the operators of the Café as it is important that we do all we can to ensure you have a wonderful experience during your visit, either in the Café or throughout the rest of the farm.Once again, thanks for the review of your visit to Churchill Island.Kind regardsPhillip Island Nature Parks

Once a month a Saturday, the Farmer's market is held on Churchill Idland. Traffic can be a little chaotic. The stalls are varied with fresh fruit, meat, seafood, poultry, pastries and other hand made produce like soap etc. There is also a kids farm where children can run around and see farm animals. Horses, sheep, peacock, chicken, ducks, pigs etc. An old farm house is on site with furniture preserved through time. Some tree trunks and kids apparatus to entertain the kids. All in a fun place for the little ones.

This was one of the stops on a tour and, like all tours, we didn't have nearly the time necessary to thoroughly enjoy it. It's basically a working ranch and pretty fascinating, particularly to people who haven't experienced that sort of life. Lots of exhibits, shows, demonstrations, and animals. It's fun to roam around and look at everything and certainly worth it. There is a sheep shearing show that is not to be missed - quite entertaining and educational. The sheep dog demonstration was fun as was the whip cracking. It is definitely touristy but fun.

A beautiful setting with a cafe and souvenir shop with spectacular views of Westernport Bay. Visiting the old homestead is optional and unnecessarily expensive for what is offered.
