We had a great variety of cherries and others fruits but strawberries were not I season. Went early circa 9:30. Numbers were an issue when we were leaving about 11:30

The orchard is easy to find with ample signage along the way. It's on the left-hand side of the road as you approach. Well organised, they provide shuttle buses to bring you to the section of the orchard designated for fruit picking. It is a wonderful experience for the family to pick cherries from the orchard than only buying them off the supermarket shelves! The only problem is that if you go too late, the low hanging fruits are already plucked, leaving the higher ones, somewhat unreachable.

First time cherry picking. Bus took us to where we were to pick and back to main building, it comes around every ten minutes or so. Lots of lovely cherries to eat but they were a bit dirty so I recommend a water bottle to clean them before you eat. There was plenty of cherries even though it was late in the season. Nice and juicy. Not much else to do there I guess you could bring a picnic as there are a couple of tables there and you could enjoy the scenery, there was a cafe there.

The harvest the year is excellent!!! Big, sweet, juicy cherries in abundance! We brought our picnic stuffs along and had a splendid feast under the cherry trees! We were literally sitting underneath bunches of cherries, brought water and container to wash the cherries before stuffing ourselves with cherries!!!!! Specific areas are opened up each day to ensure that everyone will have good harvest. We'll be back next year!!!!!

It was a sunny day when we reached CherryHill. We have planned to pick cherries as one of the programme. When we reached there, we were told that the farms are mot opened for picking in November, but schedule to be in December only.We end up buying cherries instead. But the cherries were very fresh and big. A packet of 850gm of cherries only cost AUD12.50. It is worth the valve. In Singapore, we have to pay for SGD20 for a packet of the same size.We purchase ice-cream instantly mixed from fresh cherries in a mixer. It was tasty. We left after the eating session. We were quite disappointed but hope to pick some cherries in our next trip.10/11/2014

It was supposed to be a fun outdoor outing for my family. However, when we arrived at Cherryhill, we experienced bad counter serviceFirstly, the staff forced us to park at another place when there are lots of empty parking slot.Secondly, the staffs gave unclear instruction and make me run around like a foolThirdly, they doesn't seems to know there is a promotional on entrance fee from 08 dec to 12 dec and forced me to run all the way back to my car and get my iPad to prove to themLastly, they are too arrogant and doesn't seems apologetic. There are lots of cherry farms in melbourne and they have to take extra note on their service and attitude.

Was at Cherry Hill over the New Year holidays . A really nice experience for one who has never seen a cherry tree. Staff were helpful . Will recommend this place to friends

A great way to spend a few hours, so much more fun than just buying cherries in a shop. You pay $10 entry which allows you to pick and eat as many cherries as you like, there is no time limit, and you pay per kilo for the cherries you put in your bucket. No worries about not being enough cherries to go around, we were there on the last few days of the season and there was still heaps on the trees and even with the crowds there that day, it didn't feel crowded or cramped and everyone had plenty of room and trees to pick from. Had to wait a while for the bus to pick us up and take us back to the carpark, but it was very well organised and moved fairly quickly as there were several buses shuttling back and forth. Plenty of room to sit and have a picnic between picking.

Have been here a couple of times. We find that a good time to come is just before Xmas. The season finishes in early Jan and any time after that is cutting it to close. The cherries are plentiful and larger than the varieties you get in the supermarket. They are juicy and yum! Tickets are just $10 at the door with a discount if you buy them online. My tip is to bring picnic blanket and water. Refreshments are optional. The cherries will fill you up. Definitely a great place to bring visitors for a combination of reasons, cheap, not too far from Melbourne, shady picnic areas, the kids will love it! And rarely do I come across someone who hates cherries! The toilets though are the only down point, portables and stinky... Though this should not discourage a visit.

Went to this place at the right time during the cherry season. We were given a bucket for the cherries and then transported to the other side of the plantation to start cherry-picking. In the bus, we were briefed by the staff details on Cherryhill Orchard.I must say there were more than enough cherry trees for your ease-of-picking without clashing with other pickers. Just make sure you stick to the designated rows. Cherries are sweet (of course). You may just end up eating more of the cherries than picking them (which is ok of course!) Just watch out for the flies (many flies) and friendly cherry-eating Labradors (they love to be hand-fed plucked cherries).I would strongly recommend any visitors to Melbourne this experience. A caveat: they must love cherries of course. If you would like to pluck other berries like strawberries, boysenberries, rasberries etc this is not the place. Oh, do bring a hat as the Aussie UV rays can be quite strong even in winter.
