Delightful historic neighborhood with "quintas" (large houses surrounded by wooded grounds/gardens), a park, an old hotel now renovated as tea-room. This is the neighborhood where the Blanes Museum and the Botanic Garden are located, and also the premises for the annual cattle show. The streets are beautifully lined with trees.

El Prado is a neighborhood away from the sea (though not far away), were the high class of Montevideo used to live in the beginning of the 20th century. Later, these families moved to Pocitos and further north.Today, there noble houses, with their great gardens, have become museums, embassies and home for ederly. It is easy to visit the area, as part of the visit of Palacio Legislativo and Barrio Reus.Near the intersection of Av. Agraciada and Av. 19 de Abril is where the old mansions are located. It is nice to drive around to see them. The Av. 19 de Abril have great trees too, that form a roof over it, giviing it a particular atmosfere. Near the intersection of Av. 19 de Abril and Irigoitía street is a gothic church that deserves a stop. Nearby is the Botanic Garden, the rose Garden (Rosedal), the Prado Park (with its Prado Hotel within). Nearby is the Museo Blanes, and the Museo de Antropologia. Both are nice to visit, even if you are not interested in what´s inside: both are old mansions turned into museums.

Por ser um Parque mais distante, esta fora do circuito turístico, fui com uma amiga da cidade, o acesso é fácil através de onibus urbano, perto do parque tem o Jardim Japonês,

Es un lugar para pasar la tarde ahi con tu pareja o amgos... Si te gusta correr tambien es un buen lugar

El Prado es un parque grande, no muy lejos del centro en autobús, próximo al jardín botánico... merece la pena la visita, para echar una tarde bajo el sol

É um bairro muito bonito e tranquilo. Com muitas árvores e local para descanso no parque. Pode se caminhar, andar de bicicleta ou apenas deitar na sombra de tantas árvores. No bairro ainda tem o Museu Blane com seu lindo jardim japonês.

Es un inmenso parque al estilo francés, con todos sus ingredientes: rosedal, jardín botánico, un arroyo que brinda paisajes bucólicos y una variada colección de árboles autóctonos. Descable: Monumento a La Diligencia, espectacular! y Los charrúas, debajo de un árbol singular con semillas encapsuladas con forma de oreja. Muy próximo está "La Rural" donde en fechas determinadas se hacen exposiciones de ganado, competencias de doma, rienda, etc.

Una gran extensión de áreas verdes en la ciudad, a unos 15 minutos del centro. Existen varias partes distintas, está el rosedal un paseo romántico. un área de juegos infantiles y otra área para entrenar o jugar al fútbol. Y mucho mucho pasto y árboles para pasar un rato al aire libre.

El prado es un lugar muy interesante de Montevideo ,ya que en cierta época hace muchos años se hace la fiesta criolla , de rienda, de exposición de animales de todo tipo, ya sean caballos, vacunos, ovejas, cabras y todo lo que tenga que ver con el agro, ya que también se hacen exposición de maquinarias agrícolas y todo lo que precise el campo. También por otro de sus lugares hay parque con mucha variedad de arboles y un hermoso rosedal que han hecho un pasaje por debajo de ellos para que la gente los disfrute hay un riachuelo que está muy bien hecha sus bordes antiquísimo y se va manteniendo y el verde para disfrutar en familia. Es una parte de Montevideo, de tranquilidad y se respira aire puro. muy bello.

personalmente bastante descuidado es un parque bello pero la verdad no muy cuidado en su higiene y luego del atardecer es francamente muy peligroso incluso se junta gente de mal vivir cerca de los juegos infantiles amen de eso es un paseo agradable para un domingo a la tarde salir con los niños y las mascotas

Un lugar muy lindo para ir de picnic, mucha flora autóctona recomiendo visitar el rosedal y el jardín botánico.
