I got an english-spanish speaking 4th year botany student to take me around. it was arranged by Living Col - Sindy. Well worth the cost. Not a very big area but very interesting.

The gardens are lovely and include trails up the mountain with great views of the city. If you are lucky you will be serenaded during your walk by music from the music conservatory on the property. They have guides that speak English if you request ahead of time. The gardens are beautiful and show some local flora. They have good collections of Palm trees and medicinal plants. Worth a visit if you are in town.

This is a nice place to visit for a break from the traffic and city noise. There is a fee of about $5 usd and walks are primarily guided by botany or University students that have been trained to guide the public and provide information as you walk.There are 3 lookouts and the distance varies depending on how many you visit. You can go to the first one and it is about 1 hour on a relatively good paved trail that is not too steep. If you go to the second it really takes about 2.5 hours round trip and there are some stretches where the hike is somewhat steep. The third lookout is pretty far and it is about 5 miles round trip. Most people go to the first or second lookout and actually the trail to the third one was closed when we were there due to small landslides.The guide provides lots of information about the plants you see as you walk. I was told that there are bilingual guides although I suspect that it may be best to call ahead and request one.The views from the lookouts are very nice and you can see the city and surrounding mountains.We spent 2.5 hours and in spite of the sweat and the steep climbs and descends in places we felt it was a worthwhile experience. Be sure to get the nice brochure they have at the entrance, it is free. I would return if I visit Ibague again.The university has a botanic garden as well, but although it is nice, it is very small.

Muy buen lugar para salir Dr la monatonia de cada día y despejar la mente con toda la maravilla de la naturaleza.

Es un bonito lugar, tiene tres miradores muy bien ubicados, recomiendo ir hasta el ultimo, si las fuerzas dan para hacerlo ya que la vista es la mejor de todas, los guías son muy amables y conocen el lugar, el bosque es hermoso, en general es un excelente sitio para ir a caminar y tener contacto con la naturaleza. Falta una tienda de recuerdos.

Excelente lugar, muy buenos paisajes, la verdad es un espacio diferente en el que se respira tranquilidad, lo conoci hace como dos semanas y me gusto.

es un espacio para disfrutar en familia, aunque lo conoci en el colegio, pero me intereso por que tiene senderon muy bonitos al aire libre para compartir con la naturaleza

Un lugar único, gracias a su naturaleza su biodiversidad tanto en los animales que tiene como en su vegetación! Yo tome el recorrido más largó y me gusto ver sus quebradas en cada parador aprendes algo nuevo y al final el mirador en el cual puedes observar la ciudad. Tiene. Que ir a conocer.

Lugar desde el cual se pueden apreciar las distintas visuales que tiene Ibague, subiendo a sus cerros.

El Jardín Botánico es el sitio mas lindo que he visto para ir con tu familia y disfrutar de un recorrido de 7 km, rodeado de naturaleza, aire fresco, animales silvestre y bastante seguro. si llevas niños pequeños es un mundo para descubrir. lo recomiendo.

Es uno de los mejores lugares para quienes les guste estar en un ambiente tranquilo y muy ecologico. Se respira un aire limpio. Ademas queda dentro de ibague.

Es el segundo jardín botánico más grande de Colombia, y la verdad es que la visita fue muy agradable. Es rico estar en contacto con la naturaleza y aprender de la misma. Hay un recorrido de un poco más de una hora y otro más largo. Yo escogí el corto y me gustó. Al final, hay un mirador de la ciudad.

para los amantes de la naturaleza y biodiversidad recomiendo este sitio por su variedad y los guias capacitados para esto

es lugar espectacular para hacer caminata ecologica, se puede llegar a un mirardor donde ves toda la ciudad de Ibague, esta muy bien ciudado y cuanta con guias

Nos gustó ir hasta el mirador del Jardín Botánico, desde allí se tiene una panorámica de la Ciudad.La primera parte del recorrido la hicimos solos porque no había guía en el momento, en la segunda parte, nos unimos a un grupo al cual alcanzamos y que tenía un guía; disfrutamos más del recorrido con el guía, fue más ilustrativo.
