What a gorgeous church. Well worth a visit, you can feel the history in this beautiful place. Upon entering I was in awe at the gorgeous design/decoration/paintings/statues.

This is a very old cathedral. Beautiful and full of history. A must see by any tourist and local. It is amazing both inside and out.

Lviv abounds with beautiful churches, and this is one of the best. We would suggest having a guide to take you around to the various churches. They are located close to each other, and all of them are impressive.

We walked in when a church service was going on and it was beautiful. It's a tall building and the inside rises high. While there is no art on the dome the decor around the church is amazing.

Over the centuries several churches have occupied this site. While it is still called the Dominican Church after the Russians left it was handed back to to the Ukraine Greek Catholic Church. It is an outstanding example of the Baroque style and is regarded as one of the best examples in Europe of this style. What was originally the monastery is now a museum. It is next to other historical buildings. Look for the Dominican coat of arms on its facade a dog with a burning branch.

Incredible old church with special soul. When you look outside...it's grey and little sad scary ...but when you come inside- its more more beautiful and unique place

During the Russia occupation this church was used for storage . It has been brought back to it full glory. Beautiful religion artifacts were in the church.

The cathedral is nice, though a bit "darker" that the others in Lviv. The atmosphere seems a bit heavy. We had heard that there was an underground tour at this church, giving the history of the underground of Lviv, so that's why we came. There is a tour (3 tours a day) which cost us 15 UAH per person (about 10 people), in Ukrainian, but they also offer an option in English however that tour is double the price! Price also adjusts based upon how many people are in the tour group. Tour time is about 40 minutes.The tour was ok, most of the stuff we heard, the tour guide kept finishing with "this is all legend and there's no real way to confirm it". The tour also covers information about how the church used this underground area during the 13th century and then turned into a storage room when the Russians took over. We were hoping that they would cover information about how these tunnels were used during World War 2. (A number of people survived underground during this period), but this information was not covered.At the time of our visit, they have uncovered a small amount of the actual tunnels that are there.

Доминиканский костел — один из лучших образцов архитектуры барокко, один из красивейших во Львове. Величественность его поражает, восхищает мистическим пафосом. На фронтоне слова: «SOLI DEO HONOR ET GLORIA» — «Богу единому честь и слава» — могучий орден доминиканцев. Слева, над окном, символ доминиканцев — собака, которая лежит на книге, в пасти горящий факел — «огнем веры выжжем ересь». Доминиканцы до конца XVI в. выполняли роль инквизиторов в Европе.ОЧЕНЬ красив в ночное время. С подсветкой он превращается в ожившее и мистическое... переносит на несколько столетий назад...

Величественный собор с великолепной акустикой. Проходя вечером мимо него, зашел. Шла служба, людей было не много, священник исполнял(по другому написать не могу) молитву. Впечатлило, голоса великолепные. Рядом стоял прихожанин, который тоже ее исполнял. Действительно его стоит посетить с экскурсией, да и послушать орган.

стали случайными зрителями камерного концерта хоровых коллективов, которые пели а-капелло, чуть-чуть и опоздали бы на обратный поезд, так заслушались

Одно из самых чудесных зданий Львова! Находится в центре,и вряд ли Вы его не заметете.Очень советую посетить!

Изумительное строение и атмосфера! Попали на венчание это завораживающие зрелище! возле церкви памятник - держитесь за пальчик!
