Its the place middle of Kiev, were are much shopping malls underground and above also. The best time is spring time. See much flowers every were. Also very close to nice park

This place has been witness of many historical things of Ukrainian history!!! The constructions around have survived to many events!! More than just a street is a place that represents the memories of all heroes that have been down in action defending the interest and rights of the people!!

Cool to stroll, do some shopping and have a beer in one of the small restaurants with some dried meet and watch the people pass-by.

Great shops and location. The street is closed to cars at the weekend which makes it even more pleasant.

A busy place with many shops, and many things going on in the street around you. Many things to buy from people in the street, for cheap prices.

Kiev's main city street. It stretches about 10 city blocks from the park (overlooking the Dnipro river) to Besa Rapska (an indoor market with lots of food products - expensive but very good produce, meat and fish----also black caviar if you ask the grandmothers in the middle).Lots of different shops along the way including Espirit and Zara but also local retailers and souvenir places. The wide boulevard and street area are features panhandlers, musical offerings, romantic strolling, and typical downtown street figures. The street is closed to auto traffic on Saturday and Sunday is a popular place for families to gather. A lot of different restaurants and pubs - like all downtowns, some are decent and others are ripoffs.A definite place to wander if you are in Kiev.

Khreshchatyk Street is a wonderful place to be, especially on the weekend when the street is closed to vehicle traffic. There are restaurants and shops of all types up and down (and under!) Khreshchatyk. The city of Kiev, even now during the country's most challenging times, is safe and day to day life carries on as normal. Use common sense just like anywhere and you'll be fine. Personally, my wife and I visited Kiev 6 times in the past 2 years, in winter and summer and autumn of each year. I was there during the occupation of Independence Square, but not during the peak violence which led to so many deaths. At no time did I feel any threat to our safety. The Ukrainian people are warm, hearty and welcoming. Learn a little Ukrainian and you'll get far. I advise renting an apartment rather than getting a hotel room. You will typically get a lower price and have a full kitchen and in our experience most apartments have washing machines and decent internet.Russian aggression aside, Ukraine is a jewel of a country, and the people are what make it sparkle. Worth a visit or three.

I have been here many times. I have been here at some time for almost every month of the year! Great street for shopping and restaurants. Fun in the spring, summer and fall when all the people are out and about. Most of the time, the street is blocked off from Independence Square for about 8 or 10 blocks from Friday early evening till Sunday evening and is for walking only. Shop, eat or just sit and people watch.

This is the main shopping street and is well worth a visit to see what is hot and what is not in Kiev. I would say it is best to visit at the weekend when the street is closed to cars which makes it a much less polluted and enjoyable experience.

Khreshchatyk is the center of Kiev. On this road you could find lots of shops and also you can enjoy a great walk !

Khreshchatyk is pedestrial area weekends. It is a great place to visit whether with family, friends or alone. There are a lot of shopping places, restaurants, attractions and places to see on Khreshchatyk. Don't forget a camera because you will want to make many pictures that will get many likes afterwards.

It was Sunday when we visited and the street was closed to traffic which made it very comfortable.It was snowing and there was a nice feeling of Christmas.There are some good quality shops and plenty of eating and drinking options available

Khreshchatyk is the main street in Kiev for many things social and business. During the week it has a decidedly business feel and weekends are very social with a huge mix of people and activities. Though so many tourists go here, it's not a complete perspective on life in Kiev.
