据说海参崴的新人结婚都要到这里来举行仪式、有很多同心锁象征着新人们的美好爱情。景色很美,整个金角湾尽收眼底,对面就是金角湾大桥!
Windy on top. And fog in the morning. If you go on foot, then a lot of cars around and bad air. Bur you can use funicular/ Is very cute. :))
The funicular didn't work when I was there but the climb was not too hard. And I got spectacular views of the bay, the bridge and the city.
this is worth the effort a little run down but that is part od its charm a great view even when we were there and the bridge was in fog/Cloud
This place is the best viewpoint in Vladivostok. If the weather is fine, you can see the city and the Goldern Bay bridge. It is free of charge.
Orlinoye Gnezdo (The Eagle’s Nest) hill is one of the main symbols of the capital of the region. It’s not only the highest point of the old city, but also its geographical center. The main television tower, the radio-transmitting center is located here. The highest point of this geographical object reaches 199 m above sea level. The television tower can be seen from all ends of Vladivostok. The 180 meters tower, shining flashing lights like a Christmas tree, is one of the night city symbols. From observation platform of the hill opens a delightful view of the central part of the city and the cable-stayed bridge across the Golden Horn Bay. Also you can see Russky bridge footing from here.On the July, 1 2006 there was opened the only monument on Russian Far East dedicated to founders of Slavic writing saint brothers Cyril and Methodius. Behind the sculptural group there is a bell tower topped with a gilded dome and a cross. This observation platform is often visited by newly married couples, which are hanging up the locks as a symbol of strong love. So there are lots of them now on the ropes holding the monument.
This should be one area that the Vladivostok city council should invest in upgrading and maintaining. The Eagle's Nest mount offers fabulous views over the city and the harbour, but the area is really old and rundown. I took the funicular up to the road across the base of the Eagle's Nest Mount and worth doing this to get to the mount. The souvenir shop below it has a great range of products for those wanting to buy souvenirs.
I can only describe it, the day I went it's a good walk uphill to get there but when you arrive the view is great. The day I went I forgot my cam, unbelievable worth going
You need to walk up the hill but on the top you can have a great view of Vladivostok. Also you can see the bridge to Russky Island. I think this is the best view in Vladivostok. There is a small souvenir shop on top.DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR CAMERA!
The hike up was steep but easy enough as it is a short hike from the city. The views made the hike totally worthwhile. I was here in February when the peninsula, that Vladivostok is situated on, split the frozen Amur Bay in the background from the icy sea in the foreground. A sight worth seeing!
There are quite a few steps to climb up to the Eagles Nest viewpoint, but when you get there the views are quite nice. You get to see the new bridge at Vladivostok, the city skyline and the bay where ships come in. Also at the viewpoint, there is a convenient Gift Shop that has many souvenir items to choose from.
As long as the day is clear, you will have a good view of VVO, especially the bay, with all the ships in harbour. There is a well-stocked souvenir shop, but nothing much else. People watching is also good. Wear warm clothing if you go there in the winter.
Worth the walk up the hill. We came upon a wedding party there while the bride and groom were putting their padlock on the railing. This seems to be a popular trend, as the are locks everywhere.
What a view, you can not miss this one, on a good clear day you have the best view in Vladivostok. There is a small souvenir on top.The day we did go was cold windy and raining, and the little tram was not operative. Its a long hike up the hill
Magnificent bird's-eye view of City core and Golden Horn Bay specially at night. To take a camera is a must.Always windy - so take your coat. Site is a part University campus, so there is no tourists facilities, except small souvenir shop (under the lower deck). To get there take a cable car (starts from ex Tecnical University in Svetlanskaya st.) or bus N 38, 68 from Semyonovskaya sq., pass reversal ring by underground crossing and then climb the ladder on the eastern slope of the hill.
