I guess everyone who visited Russia for the last 20 years knows this chapel. I couldn't find something interesting like an age of a chapel or unusual architectural style and e.t. during my last visit of it. But the view from this mountain is so exciting. You forget such disadvantages like dumps of rubbish, intrusive sellers of refrigerator magnets or drunk russian wedding decided to take a picture near this chapel. When you are looking at Krasnoyarsk from this mountain you understand that it's one of the most beautiful cities in Russia.It's better to visit it about 12, because you can see and hear the shooting gun. In Krasnoyarsk there is a tradition - every day at 12 o'clock russian officer shoots from huge gun.I can't find any lavatory near chaple so it's better to pay attention on it and visit WC before visiting this place of interest.

Great view of Krasnoyarsk from the chapel hill. Got some really nice photos and movies from the Chapel. Quaint Chapel and nice gift shop. Got really nice spiritual feeling being in the chapel. A must stop in your travels in Krasnoyarsk.

If you want the best city view, have to come to this place. It's not very crowded, so you can really enjoy it and have the time to find that spot that you want to see.

A picture of this chapel is used on banknotes. It is a picturesque old building high above the city with a good view from there. It is usually very windy there so choose a good day to plan your visit.

I was brought here on the first night of my visit to take in the night view of the city and get some cultural orientation. The combination of art, people, view, and history made it very memorable.

The Chapel of St Paraskeva Pyatnitsa, on Karaulnaya Mountain (actually more like Karaulnaya Hill) is a pretty little chapel with great panoramic views of Krasnoyarsk and the surrounding area. The chapel has some great frescoes on the ceiling and you can take photos. It is a short bus ride from the city center followed by a very short walk to the summit. Don't miss this site if you're in town for longer than a day or so.

Unfortunately the weather was not all that great, however the view was still great and it is an interesting place. Well worth a visit.

We visited on a Friday afternoon and there were many wedding parties taking photos and celebrating. Great way to see the city.

Небольшая часовня, с которой начался Красноярск. Стоит на сопках, там ветрено. Удобно оставить машину рядом на стоянке. С высоты весь город как на ладони.

A krasnoyarsk, on la voit de très loin la haut sur la colline, elle est toute petite, c est la première église de la ville, en bois a l origine, puis construite en "dur" ensuite. Elle figure sur les billets de 10 roubles. On peut monter ou descendre de cette colline par un enchevêtrement d escalier en bois, c est rustique, mais cela donne un cachet incroyable a cette ballade. En hiver il faut bien se couvrir car c est très très vente la haut.

Шикарный вид на ночной город открывается с этой часовни! Были в командировке и нам посоветовали подняться наверх и посмотреть! Не пожалели!

Très belle chapelle située sur une hauteur de la ville. Les couleurs sur les façades sont magnifiques. Pour l'intérieur c'est vraiment tout petit mais très beau. En contre bas se trouve une batterie de canons que l'on entend tous les jours à midi.

С часовни открывается красивый вид на город. Рекомендую к посещению гостям города, визитная карточка Красноярска. Правда наверху всегда ветрено, одевайтесь теплее )

Ухоженная и отремонтированная часовня на Караульной горе.Рядом площадка для туристов и непременных свадебных кортежей.Внутри часовни образа и торговая точка - свечи, иконки, религиозная литература.Снаружи ветрено, но очень живописно. Весь Красноярск, как на ладони. Правда в сильный мороз лучше десять раз подумать, прежде чем туда ехать.Фотография с красной крышей уже не актуальна - крыша теперь зеленая.И - да! - эта часовня фигурирует на 10-рублевой купюре, ставшей за последние несколько лет нумизматической редкостью.
