Gorgeous opera and ballet building where just in front one can view enormous soviet-era statues of Lenin and other stalwart revolutionaries. Apparently the square is also the geographic center of the former Soviet Union. The opera house (the largest in Russia) is also worth a visit--beautiful interiors. Be sure to walk all the way around the building as the architecture is lovely from every angle.

This is a must see, statues are so big and the area around it so beautiful. people place flowers on bottom of statues. there are information stands (in Russian) about history.

If you were to choose a single place in Novosibirsk to visit, this would be the most likely choice.This is the historic center of the city since the very first days, so it has a lot of local landmarks/attractions either right there or within walking distance.The biggest one is the local Opera, this is one of the largest theatrical buildings I've ever seen. It definitely got some style.There is a local history museum, city hall, regional office of the central bank, a couple of nice parks, a lot of shops and restaurants. Under ground there is a very impressive metro station, another must see.Once in a while you can get lucky and witness some parade or a big public event (The day or the City and the Victory day parade are the biggest ones).If you don't mind walking, you can either stroll to the main railway station (you can see it from the square) - another massive soviet day landmark. Or you can walk along Krasniy Prospect going south. That way you'll pass by St.Nicholas Chapel (a commonly used symbol of the city) and then you'll get to the oldest part of the city around the St. Alexander Nevsky Church, some of those buildings were actually built in pre Soviet days (before 1917, given the city was founded in 1893, this is as old as it could get).

Большая площадь на которой расположен оперный театр, красивейший в России и даже в мире. Очень красиво в ночное время и на праздники. Стоит увидить............................

Побывать в Городе и проехать мимо Площади им.Ленина - невозможно! В данном случае уместно пословица: "Все дороги ведут в Рим!". В нашем случае - лучшее тому сравнение. Площадь является по сути Сердцем прекрасного Города Новосибирска! По периметру Площади расположены сразу несколько достопримечательностей Города. Описать её значение и красоту - невозможно! Это нужно увидеть собственными глазами!

Рекомендую для посещения, особенно вечером, когда включается подсветка Оперного театра и других окружающих зданий.

Площадь как площадь. Но был я тут. И что? Собираются на Пяточке всякие малолетки-мажоры.Смотреть и ловить здесь нечего.Зато Театр оперы и балета напротив.

Центральная площадь главного города Сибири. Большая, просторная, красивая, то что нужно столице! Очень живой город, молодцы новосибирцы!

Несмотря на революции площадь Ленина сохранила свое название и являетя центральной,в нее влиаается Красный проспект.В центре площади расположен театр оперы и балета;небольшой сквер и конечно памятник Ленину.В новогодние праздники площадь украшают Елкой и снежныии горками и конечно снежным Дедом Морозом и снегурочкой.Место символическое и еаждому гостю здесь необходимо побывать,эта площадь как для Москвы Красная.

la plaza Lenin es el corazon de la ciudad y esta ubicada en la parte delantera del impresionante edificio de la Opera y Ballet, de los mas grandes del mundo...la explanada contiene ademas la estatua de Lenin y a su lado estatuas de obreros, estudiantes y agricultores (la base de la sociedad segun la ideologia comunista) Ademas de ser novosibirsk una de las ciudades en la cual NADA ha sido removido o cambiado por motivos ideologicos (las calles tienen nombres como Los comunistas, Plenario Bolchevique, Revolucion etc...) el chiste mas famoso es decir que : uno puedo saludar a Lenin al caminar o viajar cerca de su estatua y saludarlo, pero si el te devuelve el saludo..hay que empezar a preocuparse...

Это самая большая площадь города. Здесь вы увидете наш знаменитый Театр оперы и балета, огромный монумент прошлой эпохи с Лениным, солдатом, рабочим. Одно из старейших зданий Ново-Николаевска, так назывался ранее Новосибирск, построенное из красного кирпича, в котором теперь находится городской музей и вход в метро. Здесь же здание городской мэрии, старейшее здание облпотребсоюза, банка. Недалеко находится Метрополь, недавно открывший двери для гостей. На этой площади проходят все самые важные мероприятия города. Здесь смешались стили, времена, но вы непременно должны сюда прийти.

Всегда приятно посетить это место. Ощущение жизни и молодости. Это единственная приличная площадь в Новосибирске, где всегда красиво и чисто.
