Wonderful artists, good new performances each year there are the premiere performances. Beautiful interiors and theater hall, cheap tickets, the opportunity to buy an electronic ticket online. Be sure to go to my favorite theater!

I've seen some great ballet performances here. Swan Lake (twice), Romeo and Juliet, Les Sylphides, Sheharezade and Schredkin's Carmen. Beautiful building, amazing prices. Not to be missed if you are lucky enough to visit Ekaterinburg.

One of the cheapest - and best ways to spend youe evening in Yekaterinburg. Russian operas are quite good. Italian operas depend on the cast. For example Madame Butterfly is awful, because all the singers are old and not enthusiastic about their work. But most Italian operas are great... such as Tosca or Figaro's Wedding - they feature young singers, who are excellent.

We saw an interesting production of Otello here, generally well sung by Russian singers with an outstanding Desdemona. Seats in the front row of the circle cost a fraction of the price that one would pay in London or Moscow - so excellent value for money. Definitely worth grabbing a performance if you can.

I've been to this opera theatre for a few times, and I should say that it is much greater than some Moscow theatres. The first thing I liked was the price. The first row of stalls costs 750 roubles or 1100 if it is the first night performance (in Moscow you would pay this money to seat quite far from the stage)And the second thing is that the operas are performed in the language of the original (and in the left ad right sides of stage there are screens with Russian subtitles), so the text is not spoiled by the translation.If you want my advice, which opera to see, I would recommend you to see Giacomo Puccini's "La bohème", as it is the most colourful opera I've seen in this theatre, but you will have your pleasure from any opera or ballet you are going to see.

Not worth visiting though the prices are extremely low. However if you want a true glimps at what has remained of the communist days this is a good choice. Mandatory and very unfriendly coat check, drinks served at room temperature, bottles served unopened, a ballet performance which was almost laughable.

It was closed mid day when I was there. I'm not sure it's open for general viewing, so if you want to see the interior, better find out whether you can get in before going. Here's a picture of the exterior.

Glamorous old opera house from tsarist times. It was very easy to book the tickets online in advance (pre-paid by credit card), incredibly cheap for Western European opera standards. Pick up of tickets on the day of the performance without any problems. Great seats, good drinks and snacks selection.Translation screens only in Russian, unfortunately (I saw Nozze di Figaro, which was in Italian).Staging was "conservative" or classic to put or in a nicer way, then again I did not expect Berlin style avantgarde in Siberia. Orchestra was impeccable, performers were good - not Marinsky or Vienna Staatsoper level, but definitely no need to hide. Andrej Reshetnikov was a great Figaro worth seeing.

выбрала балет "Катя и принц Сиама". было так здорово смотреть на прекрасный танец, на историю двух влюбленных. Красивые костюмы, музыка... нам очень понравился театр!

В театре отличная труппа и все спектакли великолепны. Обязателен к посещению. Спектакли, где поет хор ("Князь Игорь", "Царская невеста", например) - настолько хороши, что словами не описать. Для молодежи рекомендую "Евгений Онегин", а "Пиковая дама" и "Травиатта" - просто классически хороши. Интерьер не роскошен, по сравнению с Европой даже скромен, но это не заметно, на фоне прекрасной игры. Вообще, в Екатеринбурге, все театры отличные, не пожалеете, если посетите Драм театр, ТЮЗ, Театр музыкальной комедии, филармония (рядом учебный театр, где играют ученики театрального вуза), Волхонка, театр Коляды.

была в последний месяц на 3 разных балетах - "Щелкунчик" (премьера), "Ромео и Джульетта", "Жизель". Мне понравились все три постановки (что редкость). В Щелкунчике очень хорошо задействованы дети из театра "щелкунчик", поэтому спектакль смотрится как реальная новогодняя история. "Ромео и Джульетта" - очень хорошая игра актеров. "Жизель" - реально крутые солисты! Причем больше понравился Илья Бородулин в роли графа Альберта (в первом акте), что редкость. Т.е. можно идти смело, труппа очень профессиональная. Лучше выбирать места напротив сцены (мне нравится 1 ярус + бинокль). Также в театре есть музей, он открыт к юбилею. Там есть костюмы актеров, можно сделать мини-фото сессию. Рекомендую!

Сводил внука на "Лебединое озеро". Точнее меня, внука и невестку сводила бабушка. Давненько не был в нашем оперном. Очень впечатлило. Музыка, актеры. Просто здорово. Взял с собой полевой бинокль. Видно - играют от души. Декорации, костюмы - все отлично. И сам театр - чистота - ни пылинки. Видно, что люди работают на совесть. Теперь хочу посмотреть, как оперная часть труппы.

Считаю, что это один из лучших театров страны. Ходим с семьей постоянно. Считаю, что качество исполнения не уступает Большому театру. Обожаю "Лебединое озеро". Все прекрасно: исполнение, декорации, волшебная музыка. Жалко только , что в репертуаре нет "Кармен".

Это любимый театр в нашей семье. Практически весь репертуар посмотрели не по разу, на премьеры тоже ходим как на праздник. В декабре у нас есть рождественский концерт, лучшее и любимое в один вечер. Уже билетики давно ждут на полке. Их надо очень заранее покупать. А 31 .12.утром как всегда пойдем на Щелкунчик. Настоящий театр! Всем гостям рекомендую!

с удовольствием посещаю театр в каждый приезд, очень нравится. Красивый зал, красиво оформленный. Настоящий театральный дух, очень здорово.
