Typical post-soviet museum, which has 2 great features.1) it is home for iconic AK-47 rifle2) you can shoot from wide variety of rifles here

I'd give the museum 3 stars and the shooting range 5 stars. Izhevsk is a city with strong ties to arms/military production. The museum is nice but sadly, I can't read Russian so the details of most of the displays were lost on me. However the shooting range was quite fun. I haven't shot a gun since the early '80's so my marksmanship was laughable but it was fun. You'll need a passport AND a drivers license to shoot real guns or go down the hall to a BB gun and archery range. This was fun too especially for my friends who couldn't shoot the real guns.

We went here one lazy afternoon to see what they had to show us about the inventor and developer of the world's most famous assault rifle. Being a foundation industry in Izhevsk this is quite a substantial and well kept museum.On display is a quite interesting review of his early life, war service and the dozens of variants of his assault rifle -- many of which were a surprise to me.For those who are interested, and willing to pay for it, you can let loose a few rounds from a very secure example of his famous weapon. I don't go in for this sort of thing so I cannot remember the price, but I think it was reasonable.All in all a very worthwhile way to spend a few idle hours in this east Russian city - but I was more interested in the historic architecture examples of which are everywhere in Izhevsk.

Great experience!Museum very interesting.Great choice of weapons to fire on the indoor range. Should you chose to do this make sure you download and take the price list from their web site with you if you do not speak Russian, this way you can point at the prices which we had to do or you will pay over the standard charges.I found no English speaking staff.Will take approx 2 - 3 hrs to walk through museum & go to the firing range

Wow, this was quite an experience! the museum is great and really takes you back in the history if weapon manufacturing. very well done. the history of Mr. Kalashnikov is also fascinating.They have a shooting range in the bottom floor - you can choose any weapon you want they have a wide choice, most AK models, sniper rifles, guns. They have a professional coach that will teach you what to do exactly with many tips. its awesome!!!

Excellent museum with a twist. In the basement you can fire al lot of different russian weapons for a small fee!

it was opened in 2004 in celebration of the world famous arms designer of AK - Michail Kalashnikov. highly welcome everybody and present the unique collection of arms.

Выставлены все вооружение, что выпускалось в Ижевске. Есть тир, где можно пострелять из разных видов боевого оружия, но при себе надо иметь водительские права обязательно.

Всем кто увлекается оружием конечно стоит посетить этот музей. Всем кто не увлекается - тоже. Во первых это просто интересно, во вторых много интерактивных экранов и можно найти то, что тебе лично интересно. Сейчас там еще есть небольшая выставка по животным на войне - забавно и жутковато иногда. На мой взгляд конечно 300 рублей за все залы-это перебор. Можно брать только зал самого Калашникова

Понравилось то, что за один поход я получил массу впечатлений, не только от самого музея, но и от тира в цокольном помещении,пострелять из боевого оружия - КРУТООО!!!

Все очень понравилось ,некоторые экспонаты даже можно потрогать руками , например станковый пулемет-максима.

Абсолютно мёртвый музей, хоть и есть интересные материалы. Но экспозиция в духе советско-пионерских школьных комнат-музеев.Единственное, что необычно - есть тир, хоть и дорогой. Но это на любителя, пацифистам там делать нечего.

Очень знающий историю гид, интересно рассказывает очень интересно. Простое оформление но представлено интересно .

Замечательный центр , который совмещает в себе выставочные залы. интерактивную площадку , лекционный зал и 2 тира для стрельбы из огнестрельного и пневматического оружия. а также арбалета и лука. Очень объекмный ,хорошо оформленный материал о М.Т.Калашникове. Рекомендую приехать с детьми.
