A great walking holiday, and fantastic restaurants, the balaton is amazing and the forest and views awesome.

Interesting, cheap and quick would recommend. It was cold on the train so bring a jacket, nice views .

Tihany is perched on a hill and represents a very kitch and touristy "old" Hungarian village. Crammed with eateries and paprika shops the prices are sharp and access is by the road train from the harbour. Tour buses roll in around 11am so be warned it can get very busy.There are superb ceramic shops to the north end of town (keep walking with the cathedral on your right)Another way there is to catch bus 4 from Balatonfured which runs every hour from bus stop number 3 in front of the railway station. Fares 600 forints and a 7km walk back if so inspired.Be careful where you get off. The bus runs past the port with the driver announcing "Tihany" and you will have to then buy a road train ticket. However the bus route then loops back on itself going up the hill to the village itself. Alight at the cathedral steps or simply ask for " centrum".

If you have not enough time, you should travel with it, because balatonfured big, but I think on foot it's much better.

If you want to see Lovely Tihany in an easy way: hop on the Town train! The little street train takes you past all that is worth seeing and takes the effort away from yourself of having to walk this hilly town by yourself! Staff is very friendly and accommodating!

The traveling on this train is a unique experience, because under way you can admire the beautiful city and the Balaton, and sway a pleasant, lukewarm breeze. Along the lake there is a bike path, a sightseeing flight station and from the harbor departs tour boats several times a day.

Чтоб полюбоваться живописными пейзажами с видами на озеро Балатон в Тихани,а также посетить музей и парк при аббатстве,нужно подняться на вершину горы.Конечно интереснее пешком ,потому что на каждом углу небольшие лавки с национальными товарами (брелки,скатерти,расшитые рубахи.керамика и многое другое),что сильно отвлекает от самой цели.Быстрее доехать на прелестном паровозике! Дети просто были в восторге! Да и взрослым это маленькое путешествие было в радость!

Una fantastica vacanza a piedi con ottimi ristoranti, il Lago Balaton ha una bella spiaggia d'erba ed è circondato dal verde, si gode di una vista eccezionale.

Möjlighet att få se Tihany på ett avkopplande sätt. Gillade enkelheten att hoppa på och av. Värt att göra som en rundresa med tåget.

ティハニの郵便局裏から、船着き場、半島の先端などに止まります。この街は坂の上なので、利用価値があります。

Ein sehr schöner kleiner Ort mit vielen kleinen Geschäften und Restaurants. Bemerkenswert die Kirche oben am Berg. Es gibt viele Geschäfte mit Keramiksachen und Lavendel... ich meine das ist einer der schönsten Orte überhaupt am Plattensee..

Fazer o passeio com o trenzinho é muito divertido, além de conhecer um pouco da história de Balaton, na Hungria. Vale a pena e recomendo!

Если вы приплыли из шиофока для того чтобы полюбоваться видами балатона с высоты монастыря- минипоезд отличный вариант добраться к цел и избежать пешего карабканья в гору :) как пазвлечение я это даже не рассматриваю- хотя детям наверно понравится :)
